Aurthur Shimmerscale: *The front doors were....Well, kicked open would be the only appropriate term. Standing in the doorway was someone that could be recognized, and yet a complete stranger. What once was blue was now a deep purple, edging on black. His venomous spines were all unsheathed, and larger than normal, coated liberally with his venom. Deep acidic green eyes scanned the common area, giving a low growl and an aggitated lash of his tail before closing the doors hard, the boom echoing around the Inn.*
Icer1978: ::Sensitive ears perked, then flattened at the slamming of the door, and a pause in her reading, to blink at the familiar form.:: Aurthur"
Aurthur Shimmerscale: *His ears twitched, hear his name.....His name" Was Aurthur his name" He turned his gaze on the female and sneered.* What if I am' Who's asking?"
Icer1978: Your mate. ::Rumbled. :;She was still blinking though...Lack of sleep rarely ever caused such drastic changes.::
Aurthur Shimmerscale: *It wasn't just the sleeplessness. Mix that with a dash of fear, add some night terrors, and all the rage and darkness that was hidden within him was forced to the surface.* I don't have a mate. *It was said so coldly, and with such absolute certainty, it had to have been painful.*
Icer1978: :;While it may have hurt, her face remained neutral.:: You most certainly do.
Icer1978: ::There was something in those books, there had to be.::
Aurthur Shimmerscale: I am not so weak as to be tied down by mateship. *A few nimble jumps, and he faded perfectly into the shadows of the rafters. Occasionally, a splatter sounded down below, a drop of his venom hitting the floor where it sizzled and smoked, eating away at the wood.*
Icer1978: One would be weak to nae admt such. ::Ice blue eyes following the pathway of the venom that sizzled against the floorboards.::
Aurthur Shimmerscale: *His tail snapped against a beam, and a few shards of wood fell down upon her head.* I have no mate. *Stated matter of factly once again.*

Icer1978: ::Shaking her horned head as the wood struck her skull.:: Do nae make me come up there, love...::She'd threatened to find Renna's marbles once...she'd have to find her mate's now as well!::
Aurthur Shimmerscale: *Another drop of his venom fell, striking right next to her claw, the acrid scent of acid eaten wood would rise to her nostrils. He was clearly right above her.* I am not your love! *He snapped this out, followed by another crash of his tail on wood and raining wood splinters.* If you come up here, the only thing you're going to find is yourself hurt.
Icer1978: ::Lifting her taloned claw, where the ring still lay. the mating band that she'd never ever remove.:: Is that so"
Aurthur Shimmerscale: So you have a mateship ring.....Big deal. *Two paws came out of the shadows.....And neither of them bore a similar ring before melting back into the shadows.*
Icer1978: ::Wings were tucked close to her sides so as not to get damaged by the raining splinters, though a few may have caught in her scales. Nostrils twitching at the scent.:: By your own claw.
Aurthur Shimmerscale: I haven't the slightest idea what your talking about, lady. Look, if your fawning after me, i'm flattered, I think. But i'm not your mate.....I'd as soon drink your blood.
Icer1978: Aurthur..Lasair, Shimmerscale. :;Yep there it was!::
Aurthur Shimmerscale: *There was a hocking sound, and then he spit at the ground at her feet. It was well aimed, that shot, right between her forepaws. He cackled as the spit turned acidic ate through the wood at a much quicker pace than his normal venom would have.* That for you Aurthur Lasair Shimmerscale. You need to get your vision checked, lady, you've got the wrong dragon.
Icer1978: ::Standing firmly{She was quite stubborn after all} even as the acid wore through the floor.:: I most certainly do nae...I know my own mate. ::Purposely leaving out mention of most of the other family. Though Stormy still sounded off that he was looney in her head. thank you sister..::
Icer1978: ::Soon wings unfurled as she pushed herself from the floor. Ice blue eyes still following the acidic drips.::
Aurthur Shimmerscale: *He hissed a warning, now that she was up, it was easier to see him, or the outline of where he sat anyways.* I like my space, don't you dare invade it, or I WILL hurt you!
Icer1978: ::Now she was never one to listen...:;Soon gliding closer, wings beating in a hover.:;
Aurthur Shimmerscale: *He growled deep in his throat, flames pouring from his nostrils*
Icer1978: ::Wings still beat and she'd answer with a bit of icefire. Though her aim would be that perch of his.::
Kendra DeLaVega: Running from her room gasping, covering her mouth "what in the?" blinking clad in a blue dress and ballet pumps, looking around spotting Icer, leaping over the railing landing in a crouched position, running to her "what in the name of magic is happening?"
Aurthur Shimmerscale: *He hopped back and blasted the ice with flame, making it rain down below as he settled on a dry perch.* Get away from me! *Another blast of flame was delivered, and this time, there was no mistaking it: It was aimed directly at her with the intent to incapacitate.*
Icer1978: ::She was hovering in midair, though that tail of her's waved distractedly to Kendra. The woman really ought to watch her step. There was venom eatting through bits of flooring.:;
Kendra DeLaVega: Blinking, making a hand gesture a red shimmering shield forming over her, looking at the floor, thinking "music" Looking at the piano, running over to it, carefully, lifting he lid,and concentrating, as she began to play a soothing tune, her magic merging with the notes, her eyes closed, as she played, keeping focus
Icer1978: ::Backwinging just n time to avoid the most brutl heat of the flames, a few did manage to lick her hide. Another breath taken as nostrils flared. He wanted to play rough...::
Aurthur Shimmerscale: *He rattled his spikes loudly in a threatening gesture, tail lashing the air. He was ready for her and anything she may try.* Come at me at your own peril, foolish female!
Icer1978: :;She heard the music, but it seemed to be having lttle effect on her mate. as tainted as he seemed to be. Jaws soon parted again as the icefire raced for one of his wings.::
Andu Kirost: ::a flash of blue light leaking in around the back alley door procceeds Andu's own entrance through that portal. Instead of walking with his usual silence, Andu lets his booted feet thump loudly on the floorboards of the Inn.::
Kendra DeLaVega: Concentrating harder, summoning all the magic within her surroundings, aiming the gentle magic at Aurthur, and the healing magic at Icer, the tone changing to a calming one, her head moving with each not played, as her hands mover gracefully over the keys "*be at ease, be at rest........settle your soul oh great dragon*" Gold shimmering dust sprinkled over Aurthur
Aurthur Shimmerscale: *Throwing himself backwards, he gripped the beam beneath him with his rear claws, hanging like a bat as the icefire rushed by. It was freezing, and he was glad it hadn't struck. He let go and hovered, glaring at the female. A sudden sprinkling of gold dust distracted him for a moment, making him sneeze and growl.* Can't fight your own battles, can you? Come a little closer......*His tail came around, and at the tip, the flesh peeled back. Something like a wyvern's stinger was there,
Aurthur Shimmerscale: dripping black ickor.* Let me give you a hug, 'dear'.
Icer1978: ::Nostrils twitched and flared as she soon eyed that stinger. He'd never had that before either! Still...Ears twitched at the musc, and the booted feet...before she'd lower her horned head...::
Kendra DeLaVega: "*NO!" A gold dragon formed from the dust, passing into him
Aurthur Shimmerscale: *An invasion! His wings beat powerfully, and his aura of darkness grew to be quite visible to the named eye, outlining his body after the gold dragon entered his body. The acidic green eyes glared at the female across from him, and he spoke with a voice not his own, deeper, and much darker.* Fools.....You can't cure what I am. I'm too strong for any of you.
Icer1978: :;She wasn't beaten, nor relenting...She was holding position as Kendra's magic seemed to try and sooth her beloved's soul.::
Andu Kirost: ::Andu watches Aurthur and Icer and Kendra with a tilted head and a raised eyebrow.::
Icer1978: ::Ice blue eyes still on that stinger. It was a risk, she knew...Soon that lowered head, horns and all would charge at the dark dragon before her. Her body bracing for the crashing impact that hopefully...might knock them both out the alley door.
Kendra DeLaVega: Breathing hard, her own Magic joining in now, looking at Icer, then Aurthur
Aurthur Shimmerscale: *His body was pulsing with the dark aura, and a shower of gold sparkles exited his body.....He turned his eyes back to the female, only to be caught off guard and checked bodily out the door with a snarl.*
Andu Kirost: ::Well, if the Alley door was Icer's ultimate aim, Since Andu hadn't gotten too far from it, he turns and holds it open. Sidestepping to be out of the way.::
Icer1978: :;This was going to hurt...::
Andu Kirost: ::Andu really can't let his best friends and kin go with no more on his part.....Put he takes the time to lumber to his usual spot, grab his huge mug, and fill it before return to the back alley door.:: This is sooo "Not good".
Kendra DeLaVega: Getting up and running out the door.
Aurthur Shimmerscale: *As they crashed out the door, he hissed, snapping and biting, trying to slip that stinger under her scales to vulnerable flesh.*
Icer1978: :;Wings flared, and beat around the form as they battled, jaws threatening to sink into that tail, just above the stinger as it sought out a weak spot.::
Aurthur Shimmerscale: Don't even think it, wench! *He brought his tail out of her biting range, only to smack her hard across the muzzle with it. He was much stronger now, far stronger than he should have been.* Quit squirming and stay still!
Icer1978: I most certainly will nae! ::Growling as he got a good crack in, then soon her jaws aimed for a wing sail.::
Andu Kirost: ::Andu steps out the Alley door, huge mug of coffee in hand. To take up a lean against one wall of the Alley.:: If anyone wants something, they just need to ask.
Aurthur Shimmerscale: *Every dragon worth it's salt knew how deadly an injured wing could be. He fought twice as hard, balling up his claw and slamming it into the female's stomach to get just enough of an opening to backwing away and land lightly on the ground, wings open and ready to take to the sky again.* Shall we keep up with this dance, or are you going to yield to my supremacy"
Icer1978: ::She lay there a moment, catching her breath, before sitting up, shaking out her serpentine neck.:: I will never yield to you!
Aurthur Shimmerscale: Then you will die, plain and simple as that. Any who stand against me will die a slow, terrible death. *He lifted up his tail, much like a scorpion.*
Icer1978: ;:And as he did, she loosened another frigid breath. Straight for that tail, and it's sting.:;
Andu Kirost: Well, Either some one's mind has stepped out, or something else has stepped in.
Kendra DeLaVega: Staggering into a lean on the door frame, having reverted to a smaller jaguar cub form, laying spread on the ground "nya!" watching, her magic depleted
Icer1978: :;Andu could always help find Aurthur's marbles..:;
Aurthur Shimmerscale: *The tail whipped down as fast as it had come up, though the backside of his tail did have the sheen of a coating of frost.* Give it up.....You can't take me down. *Motioning towards the magically drained one.* If I were you, i'd see to your friend.
Kendra DeLaVega: Getting up shaking her head, gathering magic "Im fine, focus Icer! you have something stronger than whats controling him!"
Icer1978: We still have a dance to finish. ::One eye swiveling toward Kendra, then a grin, perhaps a sly forming upon her muzzle.:: That I do..
Kendra DeLaVega: "USE IT!" Almost a roar, granted a cub like roar, but, a roar none the less
Andu Kirost: ::Andu glances over at Kendra, and then straightens from his lean against the wall to step over to her.::
Icer1978: ::Soon she was slinking closer to the dark one once more. An eye still kept on that tail of course. She didn't trust it.::
Kendra DeLaVega: Looking up at Andu "Im alright, just magic depletion" Sniffing "coffee! I may,,,,,,well get a bowl when this is settled"
Andu Kirost: ::Andu chuckles, and kneels to offer Kendra a sip from his own huge mug of Hacienda Esmeralda gourmet brew.:: You can share mine while we watch, if you would like.
Kendra DeLaVega: Stepping back "nya, to strong" sneezing, lil kitten sneezes
Icer1978: ::She'd have to time it just right...::
Andu Kirost: ::Andu chuckles and stands to lean back against the wall near the door.::
Aurthur Shimmerscale: *That's right, keep watching his tail.......She had forgotten something. That power he had gained what seemed like ages ago. He opened his jaws and roared, a roar that rolled on and on, gaining power with each second that passed until the buildings around them quaked on their foundations.*
Icer1978: ::She may have shivered...But still...it had to be done! As those jaws parted of his to roar...Her's parted as well....To meet his.:;
Aurthur Shimmerscale: *He was shocked into silence....But the true shock would be hers. He glared at her, and shoved her away, spitting his acid on a nearby building and wiping his mouth.* How DARE you kiss me"!
Andu Kirost: ::Andu chuckles at Icer's chosen tactices.::
Icer1978: :;Shoved away, she just grinned as the building nearby dripped.:: What...The darkest dragon is afraid of a little kiss"
LordTravanix: ::Through the alleyway, a chill begins to permiate through the air.::

Kendra DeLaVega: Hissing at the cold and hiding behind Andu's legs, growling a little

LordTravanix: ::The black uniformed figure stopped at the edge of the alley, then leaned against one of its walls, folding his arms over his chest. A dark smile formed on his lips as he watched the happenings.::

Aurthur Shimmerscale: *He snarled this time, the kiss lasting no more than a second before he used his weight to push her over and bring his weight down on top of her, his claws wrapping around her throat* I'll KILL you!
LordTravanix: What is stopping you, Aurthur. You have the power. ::His voice resonated off the narrow walls.:: She is nothing to you.
Kendra DeLaVega: Looking up at Andu "ya know, as a cub, that is just plain gross" Sighing "I cant help her" snarling at the magic depletion
Icer1978: Will you now...::A rumble as her tail twitched, then aimed a swat at his snout.::
Andu Kirost: ::Andu growls and reaches down to grab some of the dirty snow from the alley and pat it into a snowball.::
Aurthur Shimmerscale: *His grip on Icer's throat tightened, and he bit down on her tail hard. He tasted her blood, and it tasted sweet to him.*
Icer1978: ::She might have flinched, but she'd still never relent...her tail thrashing a bit more as her throat was being crushed.::

Kendra DeLaVega: Grinning "Andu" leaping into the alleyway, drawing a sigil in the snow, "Stand on the sigil!" the sigil was a hardening spell

Aurthur Shimmerscale: *He could have bitten the tail clean off, and part of him wanted to. Power.....Yes, he had the power to take her life. Her fragile life was in his claws, wrapped around her throat. He just had to keep squeezing....*

Jade Alcar: The little dragon perched on the rooftop above, pure white like freshly fallen snow. She tilted her head at the scene below and disappeared from view only to reappear a few moments later, a teenaged girl in a fluffy coat.

Jade Alcar: She snorted when she heard Aurthur, her legs dangling over the edge of the roof. Just watching for now.
Maximus Shimmer-Scale: A faint thump of boots on the roof that Jade was on, before moving in her direction. Just about to say something, before looking down at the scene in the alleway below, then lowered into a crouch beside her.
Andu Kirost: ::Andu rolls his eyes, and sips at his coffee.::
Icer1978: ::Grunting as she was smacked, though soon her bloody tail coiled around a rock...Then she let it fly. Hopefully her aim was true...and it would tear the membrane that kept him aloft.:;
Icer1978: I am not the weakling. ::Pushing herself upright.::
Aurthur Shimmerscale: *The bolt didn't tear through the membrane....But it could be heard striking bone very, very hard, and he roared in pain, though more in anger.* You little BRAT!!
Icer1978: ::And a smug smile given then.:: Perhaps now we are even.
Jade Alcar: She arched a brow as she looked down on the scene then back at Max. Pressing a finger to her lips to make sure he stayed quiet.
Maximus Shimmer-Scale: Light nod to Jade at the press of a finger to her lips, as he just watched for now.
Aurthur Shimmerscale: We are even in nothing! Know this, you little wretch.....I will be back. And next time, I won't stop when my claws are around your throat. *His eyes locked onto hers.* I'm going to kill you....And everyone you love. *He roared then and took to the sky, heading away to the Gods only knew where.*
Jade Alcar: She leaned back just slightly as Aurthur took flight, brow quirking as she shook her head.
Kendra DeLaVega: Swaying a little, still on Andus shoulder "nya" panting a little
Maximus Shimmer-Scale: Moving a hand to rest on Jade's shoulder when Aurthur took off, before looking to her.
Andu Kirost: Well, "that" could have gone better.
Kendra DeLaVega: Nodding, looking a little dejected "mhm" looking at the skies "what happened to him?" Rembering the first time she met him and how he was with Icer
Jade Alcar: She glanced back to Max, frowning. "I'm guessing the sage crystals didn't help."
Andu Kirost: I would say he's been possessed by something dark.
