He walked away from the inn quietly in the dead of night. He had come to the final realization. He understood so much more than he did before when he first arrived. Even with help from others, it was bits and pieces in a large puzzle, a large puzzle that was finally fit back together. He had fought in a bloody and long war for years and understood this, but denied it. Even after seeing, hearing, and understanding it up close and personal, he denied it.

Good and evil are based off beliefs and is one in itself...

What is considered 'good' or 'evil' is a belief of oneself and what that person feels is right. Even if questionable in 'moral' by others, these beliefs mark you for who you are, not the words good, evil, or even what your race is. Beliefs can change just as a person can change. Just because you where born as a certain creature does not make you automatically evil or good. Just because the rest of your race may be considered as such because of what they do off instincts or their own beliefs, does not mean you yourself are set in stone to carry this torch. We all choose our own paths in this world, our choices and actions shape it and the people we are around in it. While things may be referred to as one thing by a person, it is the belief of that individual, not the next whom may refer to it completely different. You must fight for your beliefs and wish to listen to others to understand the world around you completely. You do not have to agree with others, but to listen may change things for one or the other and even prevent conflict. This in itself, is a belief....My belief.

I walk the path of the guardian, while not set in stone, it is the path I currently choose. I believe in protecting those who can not do so for themselves if I believe they deserve it and are willing to accept it. Yet I also believe in a second chance to those who deserve it before or maybe even after a fight. I would even go as far as to spare the life of one that may become an enemy if they could not fend for themselves. I do not like conflict and would rather avoid it and not cause it. But I will not hesitate from it should the need arise. Should that need arise and I am forced to take up sword, claw, teeth, tail....I will do so, without hesitation, without mercy, and with a rage the likes of which will be feared.

I believe in protecting those I care for first and foremost, even over myself....I have accepted this. My current watch is that of the Shimmerscale Clan and those of it. They have earned my trust. And now I am a guardian among them, while not alone in this, I will do what I must and what I can to help.

Deep in thought he had left town and meandered all the way back to Shimmerscale Lair on foot. He stopped just outside the waterfall whispering a pledge to himself and the stars,
