Green eyes drifted open as the small gold dragoness woke in her room. The very room in her mother's lair that she had not left since the slaying of her twin brother, well, she'd gone out once, but it proved too hard on her.
She'd retreated soon after, back to the sanctuary of the lair, of the wards that offered protection from the beast that had done the deed.
Now she woke to a tiny gold hatchling, her twin, her brother.., she could easily tell it was Zyloh. Just the thought though of what had happened kept her lair bound, curled around the slumbering hatchling.
She wouldn't let him out of her sight, not this time, Maybe one day soon, she too would get up enough courage to travel again.
Until then, she was perfectly happy within the safety and confines of the lair
