Snow had gone into an extended hibernation apparently. Her white scales had began to look like smooth pearls covered by dirt and dust. She had gone to sleep upon the ledge of the lair and there she had continued to sleep. Apparently as time passed, her body would gradually look like stone and quartz, glittering in its own little way.

She knew her mate was there, always besides her, and her body would react accordingly. It seemed that several spirits knew as well, they began to flock, delighted at the changes coming to the fair dragoness. They would reassure the mate of Snow that eventually she would wake and be far more splendid than ever before.

*Tiamatus had grown worried when his mate did not wake from her hibernation. He knew that she was still alive, for he could feel her life-force. But he never expected these types of changes to occur, or what they meant. Too many questions, not enough answers, all he could do was watch, and wait.*

It's like a butterfly that hasn't broken from it's cocoon. All Timatus could do was give it time. She had formed a protective shell over her that was as hard as diamonds, not a weak spot in sight. It would glitter like a rainbow in the light of the sun and like star showers in the light of the moon.

Eventually however, it would begin to form cracks. Not slowly, but suddenly. The process within sounded chaotic, but never the less it would become as brittle as glass. Once broken, it would crumble to bits. But for now it was just cracking, chipping at the edges. Bits of old white scales were crumbling and leaving behind soothing shades of pale silver.

*Tiamatus hissed in fascination as he watched the transformation of his mate. He had never seen the like before, just what type of dragoness was she? It didn't matter, he still loved her, and would stand by her always.

And yet still, frustrating as it was, all he could do was watch and wait, so that he could hold her in his arms again*
