Shy does not mind winning a gift that Yasmin had already won in Ammy's raffle, but she definitely thinks it was highly rotten of the DJ's employers to force Yas to give those presents away. Where was their holiday spirit' Perhaps they shall be visited by four ghosties like what happened to that cold-hearted miser named Ebenezer Scrooge in the tale called A Christmas Carol. It would serve them right! And if the Viking could make it happen by contacting dead people, she would! The only problem with that brilliant idea is ....Shy is afraid of ghosts.

Instead, she contacts her loyal crewman Oddvar. The tall, burly Norseman is politely asked to retrieve her gift certificate good for two All You Can Eat Dinners at Uncle Rege's Ribs at Kabuki Street, and her two tickets to the Shanachie Theatre's current production of Cinderella from the WHAM studio located in the marketplace.

"Please try not to dally or get side-tracked," she quietly says with a pretty dimpled smile. Shy knows how Oddvar can be since he is a berserker. "Og if you happen to see Zazzy Yas's bosses? Well na, mayhap you should explain to them hva I tenk about their ways. Just do not kill them. Promise me!"

So off Oddvar goes, having given an oath to his Leder that he will spare the WHAM! 101.1FM executive grinches lives.

"....wish you a merry Christmas, and a happy New Year, good tidings we bring to you and your kin, we wish you a merry Christmas and a happy New Year!"

Anyone who didn't hear the arrival of three of the Storms into WHAM!101.1 FM's offices obviously wasn't paying much attention to the world in general today. It was a little hard to miss the sound of Alex, Fliss, and Liv Storm, singing at the top of their lungs as they made their way through the doors and into the lift. The mistletoe hanging over the door provided Fliss and Liv a perfect opportunity to embarrass Alex by smooching him on both cheeks at once, but by the time they reached the right floor, the little boy was in full voice once again.

" .....gloooooooo ooooooo oooooo ooooo ...." he paused for a breath "....ooooo oooria, there's mince pies in the turkey!"

Snickering at her son's original lyrics, Liv moved to the desk as Fliss placed a hand over her little brother's mouth. Thankfully, the staff here knew exactly who they were - Fliss was still interning for them most weekend mornings - and if the receptionist was a little disappointed not to see Johnny, Maria, and the new baby, Bess, as well, she hid it like a pro. Johnny had enjoyed Christmas a little too much, and thus, Maria had volunteered to stay home with him and Bess while the more awake members of the family went to pick up their re-gift prize at the radio station.

Seven crystal Nutcrackers to hang on their tree. Well, hopefully there would still be seven by the time they got them home.

Annabeth stepped into the WHAM offices, and quietly requested her "gift" from Yas. The receptionist nodded and pulled out a small envelope and a 3x5 glossy. The envelope contained the invitation to the modelling event, but Annabeth glanced down at the glossy a bit confused. The confusion continued until she saw it was another autographed picture of Yas in her DJ guise. She laughed a bit louder than she intended, then blushed thanked the woman before she turned to head out the door.

"Did you want to see Yas before you left?"

Annabeth jolted to a stop and pivoted around to look at the receptionist. "Is she available" I don't want to interrupt her while she's working, and I'm afraid I do have to be somewhere in about 20 minutes."

"That would make it tight. She gets," the woman paused as she searched for the right word, "exuberant."

"Yes, she does, and that's why we love her. Why don't you just tell her I was here, and that I couldn't stay but for her to give me a call and we'll arrange lunch or tea."

"I will do that. She has your number?"

"She does, but here, let me give it to you again in case she's misplaced it."

It had taken some time before the man could pick up the prizes due to his physical location. On the day of Valentines, he happened to be in Japan with said "Purple" to whom he dedicated the before mentioned song too. He did make a phone call to the station letting them know he would take some time before he came back to the area and made arrangements for the prize to sit in the back corner of the office somewhere that he could get it at another date and time.

Coming to the front of the office he was greeted by a very happy go lucky intern who was all smiles. He couldn't help but wonder just how much caffeine the woman took or was she running in addarall. They exchanged names and he was given his prizes. The first was the Firefighter's Calendar to which he opened it up and started to flip through. The man would rip out the ones that were the men but the women eh guess he needed a new calendar anyways might as well enjoy the free eye candy.

The certificate for the tie had him making a face. This was the prize they spoke about that he wasn't going to enjoy at all. Taking the paper he shoved it into his pocket. A "thanks" was muttered before he slipped out of the building still checking out a few of the women in the calendar.

After having listened to her on the radio and now the performance a thought occurred to him that she seemed rather fun. A stupid grin spread over the bearded features as the man moved to the flower shop. Yasmin would find that morning two gifts waiting for her. The two gifts" The first one was a potted white orchids plant in a clear vase, which was living mind you since he didn't believe in giving 'dead things" as gifts. For a touch of irony, he also sent along an Easter gift they were pushing ? a zombie bunny.

There was no note given with it. The shop was just given cash and if asked who it was they might not even know who he was. Just another fan gift it seemed.

"A lovely warm day, sun is shining, though the white and fluffy clouds sometimes block it. I think we should stop for a moment to decide where to browse next." He said as they stopped in the busy market square.

"Ja, 'tis a fint dag, for sure," quietly agreeing with the Garou and pausing in her trek when he does. "Well na, I still need to stop by the WHAM radio station to pick up min gift for calling into the request line this Season. We could go there next." Lightest of blues drift off Victor's face to glance in the direction where the station is located before looking back at him.

"I do not believe I know where that is." He took her hand in his, giving a squeeze and a smile. "Lead on, my heart."

"'Tis not one of the larger buildings," softly states as she returns the hand-squeeze and begins strolling in the direction she had been looking moments ago. "Og I have only been there once. Not inside, mind you, I just wanted to know its location." It is a leisurely walk down the cobblestones. Apparently, Shy is in no rush.

"Still, there has to be a tower nearby. That should be visible, from certain angles."

"I do not know anything about it."

"To broadcast their signal, radio stations have a tower that can be some fifty feet tall sticking up near them. It is fairly thin, though I think we shall still spot it if we look." He squeezed her hand again.

"Oh." A flick of light blues to the Garou again when she feels that second squeeze. "Is something wrong, Victor?"

"Only that we may be followed." He said quietly.

With a raising of one eyebrow she softly asks, "Is that not a ....given?"

Naturally, she is tempted to glance back over her shoulder but refrains from doing so. Instead, keeps her eyes forward, peering at the citizens of RhyDin who are also out and about (the majority of whom give the couple a wide berth). Now when they are approximately a half-block away from the station she lifts her free hand and points. "The building is o'er there." Stenciled on the glass door in bold, white block letters is 'WHAM! 101.1FM'.

"Ah, so it is." He nodded and put on just a touch more speed than his wife to get to the door first and open it for her, allowing him to check the crowd behind them. "After you, beautiful."

"Takk, handsome, though I tenk I prefer the other term," says as she crosses over the threshold into the air-conditioned building.

"Changed your mind?" he asked softly as he looked at the crowd once more before following her into the station and closing the door behind him.

"I have heard 'tis a woman's prerogative," replies with a nod. After taking an appraising look around the interior she begins meandering toward the reception desk. "Is that a bad thing?"

"That is a cliche. It is the prerogative of anyone. I think everyone must, sometimes." He gave a little shrug.

"Perhaps 'tis said because females tend to do it more oft than males?"

"I am not certain that is true." Though his own personal life might argue it was.

Arriving at the curved desk Shy smiles ever-so-prettily at the woman sitting behind it and quickly informs her of the reason they have graced her with their presence; by the receptionists expression it looks as if she is about to wet her undies or flee the scene. "I am here to pick up min prize for calling into DJ Zazzy Yas' Sommer Songs request line. Min navn is Shylah."

While leaning lazily against the glossy piece of furniture Shy finds it rather amusing how fast the woman flips through a stack of stapled papers while searching for the stated name. Eventually, the WHAM employee locates what she is looking for, and places a check mark next to it. An envelope is then held out to the Viking.

"Takk!" Do not blink, or you will miss how swiftly that envelope goes from the receptionists hand to Shy's gloved one.

Shy immediately opens the envelope and finds two vouchers: one for half off one day's tickets, no limit, to see "One Thousand and One Nights" by the Starlight Traveling Theater, and one for half off an order at Nicole's Bistro and Pizzeria, carry out only, in a complimentary blue WHAM! 101.1FM picnic basket. Holds out the small printed pieces of paper for Victor's perusal.

"I see. Very nice. It seems we now have a place to go, a thing to see, and reasons for doing both. Of course, we may have to get home soon."

"Ja, for sure, min elskling." The vouchers are returned to the envelope with another sweet-as-pie dimpled smile to the receptionist. "Farvel for na!"

"Thank you," he added to the woman before opening the door once more, eyes hardening as they scanned for certain faces.

Did Shy just hear the receptionist groan, then try to cover it with a cough' Quite possibly. No doubt because of the 'for na' part of the seafarer's farewell, which means they could return again for whatever reason.

It is a small matter to the Viking. In fact, she mayhap snickered on her way out!

He left, closing the door behind him again. "Where to next?" he wondered.

It had been quite a while since Sabine had won a prize for requesting a song and making a Valentine's dedication on WHAM 101.1FM.

That prize was for a headpiece from Weddings by Miranda. She had scoffed at the prize initially but eventually made her way to the station to pick up her certificate. Yaz had said that she could get a tiara, headband, clip, or some other piece, but the whole idea of entering a zone dedicated to weddings was too much for Sabine to bear and the certificate had remained unredeemed.

It was nearly eight months later that a small woman wearing gigantic sunglasses and a hat entered the shop known as Weddings by Miranda.

Miranda Bennett

Miranda Granger had always had a reputation for being a chatterbox, even before she had married Rufus Bennett and returned home to Rhy'Din. She was a friendly soul, if a bit nosy, but her heart was always in the right place. She sincerely cared about people and it showed, even in her daily work.

The shop itself was a bright, airy place with plenty of space for browsing the many racks of gowns and dresses, both bridal and otherwise. There were couches scattered about for relaxing on, and even a tea station, where one could prepare a cup of tea or coffee and munch on cookies and biscuits while they waited.

There were several rooms off the main one for trying on gowns and for private fittings, and in back, Miranda had a small office, complete with a crib, in case baby Rowan came to visit while she was working.

All in all, it was a welcoming place, and the people she had hired to work for her were as friendly and helpful as she was.

It wasn't long before Miranda was chattering away to Sabine and trying to sort out where she had seen her before. Once she realized the woman was involved with Baroness Beauty and had been one of the vendors at the bridal show a few months' past, it was like they were old friends - at least to Miranda.

Finally, Miranda got around to asking what had brought Sabine there. Once she knew she had come to claim the prize she had won in the radio contest, Miranda led her to a small collection of various items and told her to choose whatever she wanted from among them. There Sabine could choose from hair combs, tiaras, bracelets, headbands, clutches, pearl earrings, and other small accessories. It was entirely up to her!
