Iona was sitting on the sofa watching the girls decorate cookies. The front door of the shop was usually open, even on frigid days because of the heat inside. An hour or so ago, she turned the heat off and they were just waiting for it to cool off.
Juliet was just finishing the dragon cookies they made. They decorated a few with red, green, black and yellow. "Mum, are you sure there are blue dragons" Won't they blend into the sky' Why don't they blow fire" Are you sure that we're gonna see one?"
Myia was busy stuffing her face and had red frosting around her mouth. She couldn't say much.
"Aye m'loves. M'talked t'Icer twice this week. The lass is gonna come t'see ye, she gonna tell ye all about th' best dragons o'all, th' blue ones."
The last clack of a talon caught her ear and she snapped her head toward the door to see Icer. "Lass...ye come! Come inside."
Myia and Juliet looked at the door and squealed loud. For the next ten minutes the stood there going on with each other about blue dragons and how they are real.
Iona sat with Icer and scratched her. "M'told ye. Myia...Juliet ye gonna stop bein' rude t'Icer an come t'bring her some o'th' cookies an' th' baubles we made fer her?"
They set out some water, cookies with frosting, ham and little shiny things.
"Can we pet you? Can we hug you? Why don't you blow fire" Why are you called Icer" Do you fly' Do you know there are red dragons" Are there other blue dragons?"
Iona grinned at Icer. "M'sorra.." Really she wasn't sorry, it was amusing to see the blue dragon being here. The wee girls loved the little blue dragon.
