Nina liked to watch people, she didn't have much else to do these days, though she didn't know if she had ever had much to do, this lack of memory thing was starting to annoy her, she wondered many times about her nonexistent seeming past, like what was her real favorite food" And if she found a new favorite food would it contradict what she liked before" She also wondered if she had suffered a head injury, she didn't think so, but couldn't really tell; maybe that is why she tripped over everything. "I bet it was one of those pesky cats" she thought to herself, "I bet one of them batted me too hard into something, which is why I don't remember anything." She didn't like cats; being only four inches tall with bright colored hair and the quick filtering movements that attracted their attention, they tended to think that she was a wonderful plaything, which is why they were her favorite targets when she was feeling spunky.
She settled down on the roof of one of the stalls in the market place to watch, maybe she would find someone worth playing with today, though by what she had seen over the last couple of days there were mostly people who took themselves too seriously in this city, they were almost as bad as cats when it came to swatting her, she always got her revenge though, each time they reached out a hand to knock her aside she would let the fire inside of herself build up, and explode as their hand hit her, leaving them with a nice burn for their bad manners.
