"A Murder of Crowes" Scene Leaked! June 25, 2011
Though the movie has not even finished the filming process yet, "A Murder of Crowes" is already acquiring quite a large amount of public attention, most of which having nothing to do with the fact that it is RhyDin's first real motion picture.
In addition to receiving criticism about its casting and the unplanned publication of several pages of the original script online, "A Murder of Crowes" can now add to its list of setbacks the leaking of raw, unedited footage from the actual film all over RhyDin's Extranet.
21twelve Studios, a fledgling company begun by Terran actress and celebrity Lelah Rivka, has remained relatively tightlipped about the incident, giving fuel to the suggestion that the leak likely originated within the studio, among actors and their affiliates, or a third-party production house contracted to work on the film.
The footage shows Juliana - what we know now is the name of the feminine protagonist - in a police interrogation room, presumably in connection with the murder of her former lover, Imad al-Naseri (played by Ali Mohammed). Juliana (Aimee Savage) is being interrogated by Charlie Dekker - a suave, sympathetic officer played by Jonathan Granger.
From this footage we can glean several new plot developments. One: Judging by Juliana's preliminary makeup, it is possible that she is or she makes the change to a vampire at some point during the film. Two: Imad al-Naseri's role, regrettably, will probably be short-lived. And three: Vampires in this movie play as much an antagonistic role as a sympathetic one. Some bloggers who have seen this footage are also speculating that the romance in "Crowes" will be a strained one between Charlie Dekker and Juliana, though this rumor is unconfirmed.
Despite the leaked scene's gritty and under-processed state, its reception has so far been well received by excited and nervous fans.
