Anonymous Tip Leads Police to Nightmarish Scene December 20, 2011

An anonymous tip made to the eighth Watch precinct today led police to a gruesome scene in central RhyDin where "an orgy of evidence" pointed to the possible murders of as many as twenty-four victims.

Following information made by a tipster who has been cleared of any potential involvement in the crime, Detective Harry Ringer and a team of forensic scientists were brought to discover a gruesome scene of what witnesses describe only as "a nightmare." From what appeared to be an abhorrent construction in the likeness of a Christmas tree, Watch forensic scientists have collected entrails, bones, and various other bodily components from at least twenty-four different victims.

"I have never felt so sick in my entire life," William Patterson, 38, said. "What in the gods" names could do such a thing?"

Additionally, the tip led detectives to a decapitated body located in the vicinity. The victim's head appears to have been removed neatly and with a sharp instrument.

An eyewitness told the Watch that the murder of the beheaded victim - who has been identified only as Jane Doe, in or around her twenties " took place around three A.M. on December 19th. She had been walking home when she was followed by a man nearly seven feet tall and weighing approximately two hundred pounds. The eyewitness also described the suspect as having dark hair, dusky skin, as well as being armed and extremely dangerous.

So far the investigation has been delayed, as decapitation and unidentified burns on dismembered fingers found at the scene have made identifying the victims difficult. The Watch has gone so far as to inquire into employing magic-users to ID the victims.

Early this evening, Ringer told the Post that this scene is most likely related to three other murders in the area, all displaying the same brutal method of rape, decapitation, and dismemberment. So far the victims have all been confirmed as women between the ages of twenty and thirty.

"At this point, we welcome any help in this investigation," Ringer said. "These women's families need closure. And no woman " or man " will be safe until whoever or whatever did this is taken off the streets for good."

Anyone with any information is urged to contact their local Watch precinct immediately. Calls may remain anonymous.
