Captured murderers confess to killings in Marketplace August 18, 2010

MARKETPLACE DISTRICT, RhyDin —- Robin Yulwich confessed during questioning August 7th to killing four people close to his home located in the southwest quarter of the Marketplace, including a member of the same family, Aimee Yulwich.

According to a police report filed that same day, the accused claimed the motivation for the murders was "out of his hands."

"I was possessed," said Yulwich Saturday. "He filled my heart and mind, flowed through my veins and controlled every inch of me. I saw it all, I felt it, but I couldn't stop it."

Yulwich reportedly turned himself in the evening of August 7th following the gruesome murders of neighbors Devin, Rebecca, and Quinn Ballard (38, 39, and 10 respectively) and sister Aimee Yulwich, 20.

According to investigators, all were killed with an unidentified sharp instrument, and tragically perished on site.

The RhyDin Watch commissioner said that the questioning will resume Thursday, but no time has been set.

In possibly related news, the bodies of Stephen and Abigail Murphy, both 44, were found murdered on the premises of Slater Scrap on Slater Street just outside RhyDin Marketplace the same day. While details of the crimes will not be released, authorities claim Zackary Merchant, an art major at a local college, is already in custody.

"I was possessed by something malevolent," said Merchant during his confession August 9th at Watch Precinct 317.

Detectives on site refused to comment, but by Monday morning, forensic analysts and authorities were at the scene to control the perimeter.

The suspects will reportedly be charged upon further investigation.
