Holiday Spirit Hits RhyDin City December 17, 2009

Today, Zippo's Diner got a much-needed dose of holiday cheer. A mysterious couple that had dined there paid not only their bill, but also the bill for the adjoining table. This set off a chain reaction of niceness in the restaurant as diners came to the till only to find their bill had been paid, and in true holiday spirit, paid for the next table.

"I've never seen anything like it." Wilhelmina Helsched said with tears in her eyes. "It was almost like magic."

Wilhelmina, or Willie, as her friends call her, said that in her ten years of working in Zippo's Diner, she had seen many strange things, but never had she witnessed such an act of complete selflessness and generosity.

"Most people stay to themselves so they don't get into trouble. But this was so nice, so kind of them to do. It was magical."

Magical indeed, Willie. One theory going around is that the Mages are trying to block any further attempts at reviving the now dead Prop 37 movement by spreading good will and cheer around RhyDin.

Another incident at the Ye Olde Market supports this theory. Last Tuesday, the owner of the Market was about to take care of a shipment of what was rotting produce, only to discover that it was miraculously fine.

Other reports of "Good Samaritans" have been coming in from all over the city. Often-amazing tales of generous acts, that seemed to happen by "magic". Leaky roofs fixed, broken toys repaired, a sick family member suddenly feeling better. Is it the work of Mages, or just kindhearted people helping RhyDin in their own small way during this holiday season'

Could it possibly be a subversive movement by the Mages to sway the favor of the public in their direction should Prop 37 come to a vote again? Whatever the cause, the residents of RhyDin will happily accept it.
