Killing of Stallen Coldwell a professional hit, says RhyDin Watch August 21, 2010

STARS END, RhyDin —- The suspect or suspects in the killing on August eighth of Stallen Coldwell, CEO of Bezt Pharmaceuticals in Stars End were most likely professional hit men, based on the mode of attack, according to investigators in the RhyDin Watch.

"The modus operandi fits the pattern of hired killers," Detective Bradley Abbott of the RhyDin Watch told the RhyDin Post Friday.

Around 6:30 AM, Coldwell and his driver and bodyguard, Tom Dalley, were found dead northeast of Star's End Bar by authorities at the scene of a gruesome car accident. While no witnesses have currently surfaced, investigators allege that the crash of Coldwell's Jaguar S-Series limousine took place some four hours beforehand.

"Bullet holes and shell casings were present at the scene of the crime," added Abbott. "So obviously we're talking about a pretty through-and-through homicide investigation here."

According to the Watch, both Coldwell and Dalley were likely murdered while trying to exit the automobile wreckage. Forensic analysts claim both died instantly from gunshot wounds to the chest and head.

Still, Abbott alleges that the killing could just as easily be a follow-up to a failed attack against Coldwell.

"He wasn't the most universally liked," said Abbott of the CEO. "Coldwell had unsubstantiated ties to a teenage girl prostitution ring. He was low, even for RhyDin's standards."

Due to lax weapons control in Stars End, the weapon used in both murders has yet to be identified. However, authorities are looking into a piece of evidence found on site that could possibly lead them to the suspect.

"We found an odd, wooden cross hanging from the victims' license plate," explained Abbott. "Our forensic specialists are still looking into it, but for all we know, it could be the suspect's calling card."

Anyone with any information is urged to contact the Watch immediately.
