Holiday season in RhyDin kicked off in high gear this past weekend, and along with the ringing of cash boxes came the sound of gunshots and screams of anguish as all shoppers jockeyed for deals in the Marketplace. Shop owners, in the wake of the business lost from an unruly pick-pocketing Gnome Ring earlier this year, attempted staunchly to lure in fearful customers that had since been chased away.

"We were trying to draw shoppers back into the Marketplace after those horrible creatures scared them all off." Mr. Levinstin of "Trinkets O Love" said of the various sales promotions. "It's been like a ghost town for a couple weeks now, and we've got mortgages to pay."

The Southern entrance to the Marketplace saw the most violent incident of the day as robbers ambushed a group of shoppers in an attempt to steal the purchases made by the group. The robbers quickly found themselves in over their heads as one of the shoppers turned out to be a mage with a short temper and a penchant for fire spells. One of the robbers was reported as in critical condition at a local hospital. His name is being withheld by Watch members until his family is notified.

Another incident towards the heart of the Marketplace involved a woman who went to extreme measures to ensure her ability to get to the deals being offered at one clothing shop. To gain a better place in line, the woman deployed a pepper spray device to blind those ahead of her, allowing her to cut the line and make off with the prized deal. The Watch is searching for her, but expressed doubts of being able to locate her.
