New Governor a beacon of generosity; charitably donates new puppy to Feed our Families Foundation June 7, 2011

*In a move hailed by philanthropists everywhere as a powerful act of responsibility and kindness, Governor Fionna Helston al Amat generously offered to donate a congratulatory golden retriever she received in office to one of RhyDin's neediest food banks.

"It would be one thing if she kept the gifts," said Scott Walker, web designer for quotes4u.com. "But the Governor has really taken the step to be the better person here. You can tell she genuinely cares about the city."

The six-week old pedigree retriever, lovingly named Albert, was given to the governor as a congratulatory present for her successful political campaign and for her electoral victory. The debonaire contributor, a CEO of Rich Guy Industries (RGI) - a local technology and money factory - applauded such a benevolent move, claiming the governor truly had "a big heart, all the way down."

"To be honest, I had originally just sent Albert as a means of sucking up," Red Catten, thirty-something, said. "But she has really blown me away with her generosity. There is no way I could ever be indignant about her not keeping the gift."

Natalie Hanssen, director of the Feed the Families Foundation said that the governor is definitely taking the first step in setting a good example in RhyDin.

"She could easily have kept the puppy for herself, but instead she decided to donate him to a good cause," said Hanssen, 36. "Now thanks to this little guy, one less family will go hungry tonight."

Added Hanssen: "I mean, a full-grown dog would have been better, but we'll take what we can get."

When reached for comment, Helston al Amat remained exceptionally humble.

"I just did what any RhyDinian should do," said the governor supposedly. "There are people in RhyDin who need that puppy more than I do. I would expect anyone else to do the same thing for our city. The right thing."

In related news, Feed the Families Foundation has teamed up with the RhyDin Culinary Academy and is now also accepting donations in the form of horses, emus, and ferrets.
