From field reporter Ace McSnickers—
HART STEALS TART GETS JAILED
The Watch responded early yesterday morning to a bizarre larceny report. Kw'een Hart of New Haven reported one of her freshly baked tarts stolen and fingered her son Jack, 8, as the culprit. The Watch were forced to take young Jack into custody and he was charged with larceny and general bad behavior.
Neighbors were in disbelief.
"I can't believe she went that far," said Cher E., laughing at the debacle.
"He always seemed like such a good kid," said Blu Beri, 45.
Jack will be tried as a juvenile at next week's court hearing. It's probably safe to assume he'll steal no more after yesterday's events.
