The Benson Boulevard Initiative and The RhyDin Post Present: 2011 Fashion Week Kick-Off! February 19, 2011

If anyone can bring art, sophistication, and refinement to average barflies, it's Koyliak VanDuran-Simon!

In a never-before-seen feat of culture shock, the RhyDin Minister plans to jump-start this year's Fashion Week on Sunday by transforming a local tavern called the Red Dragon Inn into a miniature art gallery - both functional and aesthetic.

The bar art gallery debut is part of a special tribute to the "Icons of RhyDin," a theme that VanDuran-Simon is so far keeping well under wraps.

VanDuran-Simon, known especially for her fashion design and philanthropic work in connection with The Heavenly Boutique in New Haven, has managed to corral an impressive group of popular RhyDin artists and local merchants into showcasing their talent for both the kick-off event and the upcoming week. And while the who's who list of artists includes names such as Oliver Granger, "Mia," and Juliane Smith, VanDuran-Simon also plans to provide a sneak-peek of seasonal designs for the upcoming Millie & Mallie fashion show to take place later this week. It is rumored that male mastermind Locke D'Vestavio and Lola Granger of L/O fashion will be participating.

In addition to showcasing artistry, merchants from Magical Delights and the Heart Notes Parfumerie will make their wares available for purchase that evening. According to sources, Elessaria Devabriel of Heart Notes has even created a signature scent designed specifically for the event!

All of the art works contributed to the Artistry of RhyDin Fashion event will be available for sale on site. Corlanthis Wystansayr of Omelettes O'Plenty and Rekah Illyriana are also rumored to have agreed to add a touch of flavor to the week with food art and a bake sale!

All proceeds will be matched by the RhyDin Post and will benefit the Sanyumato Relief Fund and the Jewell Ravenlock Center for Community Partnership. The RhyDin Tourist and Information Center will also be receiving funds this year.

This hybridization of interests is just one of many attempts by the Minister of Cultural Diversity to bring the humanities of RhyDin to its citizens on a much more personal level. So take a deep breath, and prepare to be amazed and enlightened - whether you want to or not!

The kick-off event will begin at 8:00 P.M. RST.
