The gust of air caught Juliane's hair unexpectedly, the automatic doors gliding wide with a barely audible whir of mechanics. Footsteps echoed dramatically along the marble flooring, as people hurried in a hundred directions at once. The Post preparing for a weekend edition was a lively place.

Catching sight of the reception counter, she wove her way through the throng and waited for one of the staff to get free. A frantic woman, who's badge would've said her name was Mia if it was not pinned on upside down, paused mid-whirl to blurt out a, "Can I help you?"

"'M s'posed ta deliver these ta Distribution." Juliane tapped her finger against the large parcel in her arms. "Mind pointin' th' way?" The box was so tall, Juliane nearly had to balance her chin against the brown paper wrapping to see over it.

"Third elevator, sixth floor. You won't miss it."

"Tha—." Juliane was going to express her gratitude, but couldn't get it out before the woman took off at a sprint pace, a beeper buzzing angrily at her waist.

The ding of elevator doors reminded her that the box was only going to get heavier and more cumbersome the longer she carried it, so with a shrug, she moved towards the gleaming steel rows and waited for the right doors to open.

Later that evening, as the paper ran along the presses for printing and assembly, each finalized edition had one of the flyers she'd delivered included with the weekly adverts and announcements.
