Hello, my lovelies!

My name is Annie Mitchell and I'll be cluing you into all you need to know about what?s hot in Rhy'Din's social scene - who's getting married and who's getting divorced, what restaurants to visit and which ones to avoid, what films you should check out at the Star's End Googolplex, what books and CDs to check out, and of course what trends are hot off the runways.

Three happy couples have recently made the decision to join their lives together forever...or until they tire of each other and decide to throw in the towel. This place has more divorces and break-ups than Hollywood, but lucky for you, I'm here to help you navigate the dating morass.

Dr. and Mrs. Michael O'Rourke of Sudbury, Massachusetts, Earth announce the engagement of their daughter, Riley, to David Lo, son of Fai and Jia Ling Lo of San Francisco, California, Earth. Miss O'Rourke graduated from Boston University Law School, and is the owner of the Black Cat Yoga and Dance Studios, located in the Zen Gardens Building, WestEnd. Mr. Lo graduated from San Francisco State University and is a martial arts instructor. A Valentine's Day wedding is planned.

Miss Veronica Nightshade and Mr. Ander ConColor were united in a traditional Joining Ritual on the groom's birth world of NuTerra on the 11 of September. The sunrise exchange of vows was followed by outdoor feasting, dancing, and musical entertainment that lasted 'til sunset. The couple then returned to RhyDin for a gathering of local friends to share an assortment of delicacies in the Marketplace. The couple has set up residence on Twilight Island.

Raelin Moryggan Connor and Zach Williams were married in a quiet, intimate ceremony in an oak wood just outside Rhy'Din. The events were attended by the couple's many friends and family members who celebrate well into the wee hours of the night with feasting and dancing. Mr. and Mrs. Williams will be honeymooning out of town before returning to their new life together in Rhy'Din.

The theater season is heating up with the opening of Mataya De Luca's brand new Shanachie Theatre. The up-coming season looks to be an exciting one, beginning with the Grand Opening on 22 October. It will be a Dance Showcase, featuring the talented students of the Black Cat Studios and their instructors. Beginning on 23 October and running straight through until the 21st of November, the Shanachie Theatre Company will present the musical Fame! Rounding out the rest of the year will be The Nutcracker ballet, presented by Riley O'Rourke and the Black Cat Ballet Students. This show will run from the 22nd of November until the 23rd of December. A good old fashioned Pantomime in the form of Cinderella will run from the 27th of December until the 16th of January, 2011.

Movies opening this week at the Googolplex are Let Me In, a remake of a Swedish vampire movie. I saw the original and was quite impressed with it. Hopefully this remake won't ruin the story. The Social Network, about the founder of some Earth phenomenon called Facebook, opens as well this week.

That's all I've got for you this week, Rhy'Din! Thanks for checking out the new column and as always, if you have any questions or comments or up-coming events you want to see mentioned here, drop me a line! Until next week, this is Annie Mitchell with your Social Forecast!
