The Rose-Colored View of RhyDin: Citizens' Interpretation of the Environment For generations and well beyond, citizens of RhyDin have shaped the way the City has become. From events to battles to fellow travelers to ones desiring to claim a spot home. There are some secrets that not many understand about RhyDin until now. Physical matter of being does change the shape of RhyDin, but if you listen carefully; not everyone explains the story of RhyDin the same way. Interpretations come into play from that point on. Within this news article series, I will be interviewing citizens—both your favorites and not-yet-known—to find out how and why they see RhyDin the way they do so now. With these perspectives and opinions in mind, you may find your way to take off the Rose-Colored glasses and see things anew. First up in this interview, Miss Riley O'Rourke. I had the pleasure to sit down and speak with the Marchioness and asked her questions of her life—as much as she wished to speak of—her views of living and her own thoughts about RhyDin itself.

I am sure by now that everyone knows you as the proprietor of the Zen Gardens and now the Marchioness, but how is that you came about to RhyDin"

Which time" This first time was an accident, actually. I was representing a mage who had been accused of manslaughter, fraud, and kidnapping. The jury came back with guilty verdicts on all three charges and my client decided that it was my fault. He opened a portal in the middle of the courtroom and shoved me through. I wound up face-first on the floor in

And how long ago was that"

A year ago in March.

Once you figured out where you were, or at the very least the name of it, how did you wrap your mind around it' Or in other words, what did you think about the immediate surroundings"

I'm not sure I'm actually acclimated to it yet, to be honest. I mean...honestly, it's not that different from where I'm from...except for the dragons. But. The utter lack of a police force, the fact that you're taking your life into your own hands every time you leave your home, that's not something I'll ever learn to accept.

Now. About the Gardens. How did you decide about creating such a place"

When I discovered that I couldn't practise law here, well, not the way I'm used to, I had to figure out what to do to make a living. I was living in this abandoned building with a lovely, flat roof and some great spaces. So, I bought it, remodeled it, and a bunch of absolutely insane people bought lofts and rented commercial space from me. And the gardens are just something I fell in love with when I visited Japan with my mother.

Aside from the lack of security and the need to watch over your shoulder, what else do you think of RhyDin"

Well, I think so much of it that I bought a building, opened my own business, and have decided to make it my permanent home.

One last thing and this is kind of a personal question. When are you going to do another hootenanny in your building again?

Darcy and I are planning a big co-birthday bash in August. I'm not sure if we'll have it on the roof or not. There mightn't be enough room for everyone.

You read that right, fellow readers! If you are a party-crasher, get ready for a big bash in August!

Miss Riley was a pleasure to speak with and most amusing to observe her and her interactions. Now recently becoming the Minister of Justice, this lady will see more of RhyDin than what she spoke of. And, now in the Administrations of Governor-Elect Driscoll, Miss Riley may now have the opportunity to speak with the council about the law enforcement within the City limits. One will never know.

In the meantime, keep your eyes open and observe more often. You may never know what you have been missing.

In the next issue: Governor-Elect Driscoll

Some words within the conversation had been rephrased for the purpose and intention of the understanding to the readers.
