"Okay, I think this is the place..."

"Really' Good!" Lydia grabbed her cousin by the arm and started heading in the Rhydin police department.

"There's been a murder at the Red Dragon Inn!"

Katarina sighed as she glanced over the men at the station. They heard Lydia, took a moment to think, then simply went about their business, unphased. She pursed her lips and narrowed her eyes.

"They don't seem to care Lydia..."

She felt Lydia grip her arm tightly. "But Katarina, I have to report it, it's a crime! And I think the vampire was going to kill me too!"

A brow raised. "You didn't mention that to me..."

"*Ahem* What's this about a murder?"

Katarina turned to face the man that stood before her and her cousin. He was rather short, heavy, unattractive, and had an ugly little moustache. He lifted a hand to adjust his 'coke bottle' glasses than concealed his eyes with way too much glare.

Lydia let go of her arm. "I was just in the Red Dragon Inn, and there was a man murdered there by a vampire!"

The man glanced to Lydia, then Katarina, then back again.

"Again?"

Katarina crossed her arms. "What do you mean, 'again'? You act as if this happens..daily."

The man grinned. "You two must be new." He turned and motioned for Katarina and Lydia to follow. "Well...I'll go ahead and file a report anyways." And off he waddled to a small little desk.

Katarina rolled her eyes and followed, guiding Lydia along. They both took a seat in front of his desk as he fished out a pen and some loose paper. Still grinning, he looked up to Lydia.

"Alright little lady, what happened."

She gripped the staff she always carried tightly. "Well....I noticed there was a really...*bad* smell in the inn. I didn't think too much of it, but then a girl invited me to sit with her, in some of the booths I think." Nodding. "I went over and noticed the smell got worse, this girl assured me it was just a drunk friend of hers that passed out." She shrugged. "I also smelled alcohol, so I thought maybe she was telling the truth."

She heard her cousin sigh, but simply furrowed her brows and continued. "It was at this point that some..man spoke up, who was also sitting with her. He said that...." She paused. "What I really smelled was a dead man, and that he had his throat ripped out by the girl who had invited me over."

"So," The man interrupted. "You didn't actually *see* a murder take place?"

"Ah....well sir, I don't actually *see* anything."

"Oh...oh yes." He cleared his throat. "Continue then."

She gave a nod. "Well, I was starting to get scared at this point. But I didn't want to panic. I tried acting calm and I tried to get away, but the girl who invited me over came close to me and I couldn't back away anymore. She asked me if I wanted to know the real reason she invited me over, and I said I did."

"Oh Lydia..." Katarina was not happy.

She widened her blind eyes. "And then...She gets really close to me....uncomfortably close, and says 'I'm hungry'." She nodded excitedly. "See, Tasha told me about them, the vampires" That's what she was. And she was going to kill me!"

Silence.

"At this point I just...I ran away. I got Katarina, and I came straight here to report the crime."

"So. What you're telling me is this. That some girl killed a man. But you didn't..witness this. And then she invited you over and wanted to kill you to' Because she said 'I'm hungry'?"

Lydia gave a solemn nod. "Yes..and this girl wasn't alone. There was that man..and another girl, though she was quiet."

He laughed.

Katarina was annoyed. "Excuse me?" She narrrowed her eyes at tub tubs.

"Oh..I'm sorry. But' This kinda thing happens all the time in that..Red Dragon Inn." He shrugged. "Did you get their names?"

Lydia frowned. "I..no. I asked her name, but she never told me."

He threw his hands in the air. "Then there is not much that can be done. No descriptions, no names, nothing....And it will be hard to pinpoint three freaks in a city of..well..freaks."

Katarina glanced from Lydia to tub tubs. "There's..nothing you can do?"

He sighed and stood. "One moment." He disappeared into the back.

"See Lydia...this is why I don't like you going to that place alone.."

A glare was her only response.

Tub tubs came waddling back with a stack of flyers in his hand. "Here, you can put these up."

Katarina took them and looked them over, trying not to laugh. "These are useless!" She stood. "Lydia, we might as well go, tubby here has no intention of offering us any *real* help."

She stormed out as Lydia followed, and when they got outside, the useless flyers were simply throw aside, carried off and scattered throughout Rhydin.
