A young girl began to run across a field of flowers at night. The moon shining down around her. "Mommy! Come play with me!" she shouts to the shadows around the field. A woman steps to look at the red-headed child. Moving as quickly as she can, she scoops up the child and spins her around in circles. Suddenly the child falls to the ground with a thud and begins to cry. Her mother is gone. As another sob escapes her, she is grabbed by woman that is moving to fast for her liking. She tries to sooth the child and looks around before grumbling about children. She sits the child down on a log that is twice the girl's size. When the girl begins to slip backwards, the woman grabs her and shakes her head. __________________________________________________ This is the first thing that Makena remembers. Her mother being stolen away from her and herself being taken by her sire/mentor. Growing up her sire would treat her like her own and would let her visit her mother. This all changed the first time she had her period. Her mother tried to attack her and her sire killed her mother. After this her sire locked her away until her 18th birthday.
