Moonlit Akira

When one tells a story, the beginning is usually the best place to start. But exactly where is the beginning" For this story, the beginning is at the end of a relationship that was never supposed to be. A dark ending; a dark beginning. What would end in heartbreak for one woman would turn into a cursed eternity for another woman, a daughter. A child of the darkness and shadows would be born; a daughter of the First Eve.

The red headed woman was not a Satan worshiper or the sort who danced under the moon and practiced dark blood magic, no. She was however a witch, though not a practicing witch, but a witch by blood nonetheless. In her youth, it should be mentioned, that her mother had attempted to show her the ways of the goddess and the earth mother, but the then dark haired girl rejected her teachings out of fear from her father. A father who was very much against said practices and faith. A man with a dark side, a man who had every reason to fear the woman he loved. In this fear came his abuse in attempt to keep her in line, and to keep himself in control. The young girl swore she'd never let herself fall into such darkness.

In her later youth, just before she would reach adult hood, the now redheaded girl met a man; a dark man. He was a vampire, and he loved her very much. His love, over time, grew into something dark and poisonous. What should have been a night like any other would soon take an unexpected turn. He'd never lay a hand on her before, not like this. His anger quickly grew and he took her that night by force, claiming what was his. It was no use fighting him, he was her sire and she'd loved him for so long, she couldn't fight against him. She took it, all he gave her, all his darkness, his venom, his rage. In the moment she weaved a spell unknowingly, "Never again." From this dark and twisted deed would be a child conceived. A child who would never know her father, a child who would know no love from a man until her adolescence. However, with such love would sprout vengeance and evil in her, for the girl would not know of a true and pure love between man an woman. She would not grow up with an example of this.

The male Vampire would not stick around to see the child grow, he would never know his daughter. He had so many children scattered around the land, did he even care there was one more" Probably not. And much less that the child was a female, rather than male. The vampire mother, a child herself, was left alone to raise the newborn. The elders shunned her from the manor. With no place to go, the mother and child wandered at night under the moon and stars. As the child grew she learned the basics of what she was, a vampire, born, not embraced. She was different, special, strong, and dangerous. There was only so much her mother could teach her.

One evening, they were ambushed by hunters. The mother swept the child under her cloak for protection, but there were just too many. That night, she'd cast her last spell on the girl, she'd lock away the girl's power until she was old enough to learn and control them. She'd pray to the stars and moon to watch over the girl and keep her safe. To the shadows to protect her and be her guardians. "Run, Akira, run and don't look back. I will find you." Those were the last words she spoke to the young vampire. The girl did as she was told, she ran until she could run no more. She was swift and too fast for the hunters, they never saw her leave her mother's side. She simply vanished in a blink of an eye.

Little Akira ran, and when she felt like she could run no more, she hid. Concealed in the shadows of the dark woods, the girl waited for her mother. She waited for days, months; her mother never came. It was from that point on the little vampire would learn to fend for herself. She learned to stay hidden and to move like the shadows. She hunted only when it was to feed and she only fed when it was absolutely necessary. Some years later she found a vampire like herself, a vampire she was related to; her father's twin sister. Akira didn't realize she had a blood family; there was much her mother had not had a chance to tell her, and much that she had told her that was forgotten. Akira was taken back to the manor where she had been born, back to the place that should have been home all along. However, the manor would never be her home.

The elders looked down on her as they had looked down on her mother with disapproval. She wasn't the heir, she hadn't been the offspring of the desired match for her father. She spent a shirt time in the manor, that was all the elders would allow the girl, and with out her father present, they took advantage of the situation. There was another male vampire whom also took advantage of her father's absence. The moon morning after, Akira was taken over by anxiety. This was the first time she had been around so many others. It also didn't help it had been a while since she had fed. She blacked out and fainted out of her seat in the dinning hall. Her aunt whisked her away back to the room she had spent the sun hours. She shared her blood with the young vampire in hopes that it was just a dry spell that had caused Akira to faint. That was a dangerous move. Akira latched on to the vampire and nearly drained the woman to death.

The male vampire whom had been keeping an eye on them walked in with guards. A smug look on his face as the guards went to work to pry Akira from the other vampire. He threatened Akira, but found his throat ripped out. The guards took hold of her and locked her away in a cell. She spent another day there while her aunt was in recovery. A little girl let her out of the cell, Akira thanked her as she was escorted by the youngling back to the resting vampire woman. The little girl ran off and so Akira took a moment with the woman. She apologized for her actions and was forgiven. After that the two of them left the manor in search for Akira's father. His absence was creating chaos in the estate, he needed to be found and brought back to set order.

They went out into the city, acquired a car and found shelter in an abandoned nightclub. It was there that Akira discovered that her sketchbook had been left behind. The next moon morning Akira found herself alone, the other vampire was gone and so she was alone once more. She felt betrayed and rejected. She reached for the bag that was left behind for her full of clothes and other things that she would need. In it she found the book, she knew she had reached for it. Only to her surprise, it was not her book, but rather her father's book. She had mistaken her father's journal for her sketchbook. She took the book and held it close to her form in a warm embrace. It was the closest she'd ever come to him. Akira set the book back in the bag and took off in the moonlight.

After some time she found herself wandering lost in thought and unknowingly traveled into a portal that landed her in Rhy'Din. She explored the city and came to the market where she met a very nice older man who gifted her a pencil. She eventually met his wife who reminded her of her mother and also the man's younger brother. As she continued to explore, she met more people. She met a dapper man with a cane and a love for vodka. He gifted her a pen after she found that she had once again lost yet another pencil. Some days later he would gift her a pair of sunglasses. On the same day she met the dapper man Akira met another, a witch hunter. This man would interestingly become a friend. A vampire and a hunter becoming friends, what an interesting pair. There were others, a twilight imp, a minotaur, a dragon, a captain, and many more. Here is where her story shifts. She met a boy whom she fell deeply in love with. But their love for each other was dangerous. He was a human, and she was a vampire. One must note however that she is not just any vampire. No, but we will get to that eventually. Akira came across another vampire, an antediluvian, and old friend of her mothers. He took it upon himself to look after her and teach her what he knew. She has met other vampires too, some a bad influence, others a good influence.

During her wanderings, she also met a planeswalker and powerful mage. He showed her his full power and she was hooked. Never in her existence had she felt or experienced anything so magnificent. Not too long after, he took her under his wing and began teaching her everything. He was her teacher, master, and father.

The Antediluvian and the planeswalker would be her mentors and guardians. Akira looks up to them for they are both very skilled and hold many centuries and millennia worth of knowledge in just about everything there is to know. They are the perfect pair of mentors for the girl, for one is the light and the other darkness. She is to learn both sides, and in doing so hopefully will be able to keep a balance on the things that lay hidden inside her.

It should be known with warning, everyday Akira is a war with herself, searching for the balance between the darkness and the light. Can a child conceived of evil and darkness be turned to the light' Is there a balance between good an evil that one can live by' Will she be seduced by the darkness in her" And if so, what will become of her friendship with the hunter" The boy she loves, and others she has encountered, what is to become of them and how will they influence her? These are things that have yet to be discovered in what is Akira's journey, a waltz with destiny.
