Rhydin.

He'd heard of that place before, but had somehow always managed to avoid it. It was a center of trade for most of the world, at least of the world he knew. On his home planet of Cisterca people moved about easily to Rhdyin, but Tanner had always been more of a home body, despite his occupation.

He'd be going soon though. It had gotten to the point where work was work, and he couldn't turn it down no matter where it would take him. Besides, there was promise of a return job, so, really, he was set.

A decent size job also. A hundred head of cattle delivered simply to Rhydin market. He laughed to himself as he thought of the changes his profession had learned to deal with. He still preferred to drive cattle from the back of his horse. This job, though, was really just a chaperone. He would drive the cattle to the ship, board himself, and then get them loaded on a transport to the market. He shook his head as he slung a rope with a lasso tied on the end over his shoulder.

"I wonder if I'll ever use this again?." he muttered to himself. Tanner made arrangements to have his horse cared for while he was gone. This far of a distance, there wasn't a point taking him. If he needed one in Rhydin, he would rent one. He'd only be gone a week, anyway. The return job should have him back in Cisterca, sleeping soundly in his own bed, with a fat wallet next to him on the nightstand.

With the arrangements made, he headed out toward the ranch where his herd awaited him.
