"So now what should I do" I'm strung out, addicted to you My body aches, now that you're gone My supply fell through" You're Not Here by Akira Yamaoka

Darcy was still caught in a bad way. When she wasn't drinking herself into a stupor or finding a random bed to crawl into for the night she was finding other ways to occupy her time and her mind. Anything to keep the pain and grief away. There were limitations and restrictions placed upon the Awesomeness. It was done out of necessity. At her core she was a creature that fell into addiction easily and would quickly spiral out of control. So for her and everyone else's sake it was necessary to keep her from harming herself and others. Thus, she would over indulge in whatever outlet she could zero in on. Old habits died hard and so those addictions flowed from either alcohol, men, women, violence, and everything in between. Sometimes she would keep these addictions to herself and hide them very well. Sometimes though they would rear their ugly head.

Such indulgences weren't hard to find. Especially if you knew where to look in Rhy'Din. The old addictions weren't doing it for her. Not anymore. When you've lived lifetimes it became a bore and tedious. That was until something new hit her radar. Ascend it was called. It looked like a red M&M but was reputated to hit all of your high points. It wasn't difficult to obtain it. Normal people would take the advised amount. Darcy though was different and purchased twice what was usually needed. Always pushing her body to the limits she never stopped. And Ascend was like a blessing to her. She felt on top of the world. It made everything better. An unstoppable force. Riding on the peak though she needed an outlet and that's when things could turn ugly. "I want to hold you close Soft breath, beating heart As I whisper in your ear I wanna f*****g tear you apart" Tear you Apart by She Wants Revenge

Violence was always there beneath the surface. Simmering and always to the point of boiling over. But normally she was able to keep that in check. Normally. This though wasn't normal. The violence could be channeled in many ways but for the first time it would be messy. It didn't matter who so long as she could get her bare hands on the soft flesh and rip it to shreds. Not minding the smell of the various fluids as one dies or the blood splaying across her pale form. But the real rush' The real rush came when that spark was hovering before her. The spark she could manipulate and ferry the way she saw fit. Some, she took pity on and ferried them to the Underworld for Hades to fulfill his duties. Others" Others were shoved back into their mangled bodies so she could enjoy their screams as she ripped them apart once more. A never ending cycle of death and life that ended when she crashed.

Waking up covered in gore was something even new for her. The plastic baggie was pulled out of her pocket as she popped a couple more in her mouth. Chomping down before swallowing. Writhing in the mess of bodies as Ascend flowed through her veins. Building up to the peak she returned home to clean up. Afterwards she found another outlet. Again, she didn't discriminate and it didn't matter who. All that mattered was that they were willing to get between the sheets with her. Sweat slicked bodies and pleasure never ending. That was until she crashed again. Somewhere along the way she had lost her precious stash. Kicking the person out she went out seeking more.

Caught in a vicious cycle of feeling on top of the world and crashing. Sooner or later it was going to catch up to her. Her body would soon begin to feel the negative reactions to it. But always pushing the envelope she'd ignore it. Anything to chase that high again. Anything to keep the sensations flowing through her. She was in danger of losing her grip on her humanity but the selfish demi-Goddess just didn't care. Soon, control would be lost and it would be devastating not only for her but those who cared for her.
