Yule is but a cozy memory and now winter is really setting in. With the cold weather, snow and ice, this can only mean one thing: the RDI's Back Alley is about to be invaded by critters. Critters that want in where it's warm. Oh, and critters that want to eat us all.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is simple: Kill the monsters before they kill you! But be careful, it's not always a straightforward thing, and magic and steel won't work in every case. Get creative if you want to survive.

Here's what we're facing:

Ravenous Dock Rats ((1)) " Two swarming feet of fur, claws and teeth (excluding their tails), these are not your mad scientist neighbor's lab rats. They've been driven up from the docks by snow and hunger and have found the alley next to the Red Dragon to be the perfect place to nest and breed. Kill all you want " they're making more!

Evil Garden Gnomes ((2)) " They're back, they're pissed and now they're organized! Don't let their round, apple cheeks and sparkling eyes fool you for a second. They're just trying to decide whether to stew you or baste you in your natural juices over an open pit.

Leftover Zombies ((3)) " Waste not, want not. You didn't kill them all at Halloween, so they're back for more. These rotten refugees from holidays past have one goal in mind: Braaaaaiiiiiinnnnnsss! Don't trip over that arm.

Luminous Ooze ((4)) " Something nasty sneezed in the alley, and what rose from the slime near the refuse heaps wants YOU. Magic won't kill it. Blades won't kill it. It just keeps coming and coming" GLURP! May we suggest using a torch'

Rampaging Ferrets ((5)) " They're ferrets with an extra dose of " well " ferret. And rabies. Don't take these home to your kids.

Meat-Eating Dumpster Lilies ((6)) " Do those dumpsters ever get emptied? Have you ever thought about that' No. And since you haven't, there's been plenty of time for things to grow out there. Baby, it's cold outside, and these blooming beauties want in. Prehensile leaves and wheeled dumpsters = mobile planters with teeth. Someone get the pruning shears.

((OOC: HAVE FUN. This can run for as long as everyone likes, so long as the weather warrants. Play it free-form, or if you want to have a competition with some friends, try going ten rounds and use the Alley's dice roller for a little variety. Roll a 1d6 to determine which creature you're facing (they're numbered in the list above), and to determine the hit damage, roll a 1d20. Player with the most hit points at the end of ten rounds is the winner!

Note: The dice-roller utility can be found in the Back Alley at the bottom of the room list sidebar on the right.))
