It was pretty much the same, which was just fine with him. He wanted the same, needed the same. It had been some time since he'd visited RhyDin and the same is what he was counting on. Oh, the names and faces were different, that was always the case here. The feel was the same though and that's what counted. His rather spacious apartment at the beach was clean and fresh, one of the few things he appreciated about magic. The landlord was some sort of magician or wizard or something, and even though the place had been locked up tight for nearly a year, it was still spotless, clean, and fresh. Perfect.

He dropped his few bags down in the middle of the living room and resisted plopping down on the leather couch for a nap. He wanted to get out on the beach, finally feel the sand beneath his feet. The rest of his stuff would be delivered over the next few days and he would be busy getting things squared away. Until then, he wanted to have some fun.

He loved being here in the Summer time, at least that's what he called it, Summer. He had been in Boston USA for nearly a year and the cold, snowy winter had him depressed. A wet Spring hadn't been much of a cure so he'd decided to come back here to RhyDin for the Summer. The days here now were long and warm, the waves perfect for surfing and the sand perfect for watching the women while enjoying a nice cold beverage.

This was the place to be, at least for him, for now. A place to forget about the past year. Broken promises, broken hearts, and a broken engagement. All of it left behind now, here is the place the wounds would heal. Here was the place he could be himself for better or worse.

Quickly packing away the few things he had carried with him, he peeled off his shirt and headed down to the water. He smiled the moment his feet hit the sand. It felt the same and he smiled.
