Alucard

Alucard of the Hellsing Organization was sent to Rhy"Din by his master Sir Integra's wishes. Apparently, the filth they had been hunting so ruthlessly in London and across the world had moved on, and in greater numbers in the city of Rhy"Din. None know for sure how Alucard showed up, he wasn't even entirely sure of that fact himself. This meant that he had no idea how to get back to London once his job was done.

Not one to dwell on such things, Alucard simply started on his hunt, tracking a particular target silently. Unfortunately, Rhy"Din being the large and diverse city that it is, Alucard lost track of his target for a short amount of time. A day passed, and his target was found, a vampire, filth of his kind, who had been running rampant across the city, killing humans with impunity.

It was a man, pale skinned, dark haired, and red eyed, as were most vampires it seems. He stood over the corpse of his latest kill, feeding from the woman freely, completely unaware of Alucard, who silently walked toward him.

"A wonderful night, is it not?" Alucard asked the frenzied vampire with an ever present smirk.

"Eh"!" the vampire leaped up and wheeled around, his clothes and face stained with blood. "Who're you? Whaddya doin" sneakin" up on me"!" he glared with bloodshot eyes at Alucard.

"I am Alucard, I didn't sneak up on you, you were just too caught up in your senseless feeding to notice my approach," he said with a sneer.

"Alucard" What kinda name is that?" he asked as he glared at the man in the crimson overcoat. He felt uneasy with this one, but was also blinded by the taste of blood. "Don't matter I suppose, yer soon to be dead," he exclaimed as he charged forward, pulling out a small sub-machine gun from the folds of his jacket and unloaded on Alucard.

Alucard cackled maddeningly as bullets shredded through him, his left arm fell off, his right leg followed, soon he was nothing more than a pool of dark blood, and a jumble of torn flesh.

Disconcerted by the cackle, the vampire smirked at his seemingly dead opponent, and lowered the weapon. "Damned crazy," he muttered as he turned his back on the pile of dead meat and blood, and started off down the alley.

But Alucard wasn't dead, not by a long shot. The blood rippled, the torn limbs pulled back together, and soon he reformed, unscarred, clean, his clothes not even torn, and started cackling again.

The vampire turned slowly, and if it was possible, he grew even paler than before. He retrieved his weapon and again unloaded on Alucard, who was far too fast. A blur that not even the vampire's acute eyes could track, Alucard darted left and right, quickly making his way forward.

"Degenerate filth, you call yourself a vampire. You're on the bottom of the food chain, below those humans who would take their own lives for immortality. You make me sick,? Alucard said angrily as he appeared behind the vampire, and shot his hand through the man's spine, cracking through the bone so that his hand shot out of the man's chest, gripping his heart and crushing it with the utmost ease. The vampire died then, a second time, vanished into dust, and Alucard left, leaving no traces of any conflict in his wake, aside from the dead woman the vampire had been feeding on.

His second night in Rhy"Din had come, and again it proved to be a night full of hunting the filth that calls themselves vampires, disgusting. Alucard, dressed in his usual red overcoat, fedora, charcoal Victorian suit, with a red bowtie, leather riding boots, wire framed circular sunglasses, and his white gloves backed with red pentacles, was on the prowl once again.

He was hunting another vampire of course, a couple to be more exact, two vampires who seemed to think themselves above the world thanks to their unnatural immortality. He sneered with disgust at the thought, and easily tracked the pair to their last known location. There they were, stalking through the alleys of Rhy"Din, clothes still wet with the blood of their most recent victim, a woman lying dead in the alley behind them. His face lit up in the most sadistic of smirks as he walked out of the wall, appearing directly before the pair.

"Hello," Alucard greeted with his characteristic smirk. "What might you two be doing out here, on this most auspicious of evenings?" he asked with feigned politeness, grinning at their startled faces, evidently the pair was unused the being sneaked up on.

"Who the hell are you? And what?s it to you anyhow?" the male of the couple asked, stepping forward and a bit to the side to block the woman off, who seemed completely taken aback by this strange man before them.

"Me" Oh, I am Alucard, at your service," he said doing a low sweeping bow, removing his fedora to have its brim brush along the ground before he straightened up, and replaced the hat on his head. "As for your second inquiry"I like to make pleasant conversation before delivering my punishment on vermin like yourself," he said without missing a beat.

"Vermin"!" the woman asked as she stepped around her male companion. "You dare call us vermin?" she continued, enraged that this, this person, this man, this human, would dare insult them in such a way. "Who do you think you are" We are the rulers of the night' We drink the blood of men like you every day.

"Do you now?" Alucard smirked, he wasn't human, they hadn't had blood like his once in their miserable lives. "I find that hard to believe, I doubt filth like you could even manage to draw blood from a true vampire," he grinned wickedly at their shocked expressions. "What' You thought you were the only two bloodsuckers in the city' Foolish and disgusting, revolting even," he said as he calmly strode forward.

"Bah! You're bluffing," the man exclaimed as he too stepped forward, drawing a slender rapier and holding it up at Alucard.

"If you're truly a walker of the night, you won't need such a weapon to defeat a measly human such as myself," Alucard said with much amusement as he continued calmly forward.

"Heh, humans have their tricks," the man retorted, wisely actually.

"True enough?" Alucard mused before going into a flurry of motion. Alucard charged forward, and ducked right under the male's arm and blade, to rush past him, arm out wide, moving with such speed and force that he cleanly sliced the man in two as if his hand was the sharpest of blades. Eyes wide, the man cleanly fell into two pieces, his weapon clattering to the cobblestone ground beneath him, and the woman's horror filled shriek pierced the air, alerting many guards and citizens to the fight.

Soon enough, the alley was crowded with a few guards, and curious citizens who's eyes soon widened in horror upon seeing the crimson clothed man and a chopped in half body. Alucard smirked at it all, ignored the warnings of the guard, and walked toward the female whom he knew to be a vampire.

"Those of our kind who senselessly kill and feed on the mortals, those who abuse the gift of immortality and twist it to their own perverse desire, must be purged from the world, so they'll stop tarnishing the name of the vampire," he said as she turned and started to run away, barreling through the crowd with inhuman strength. He smirked, reached into his coat, and withdrew the Jackal. The large black gun was aimed, the barrel pointing directly at the woman's head; he stopped, and aimed for her knee, smirked, and pulled the trigger. The bullet flew free, rushed through the air with a deafening bang, and split through the woman's bone, tearing the limb clear from her body, and sent her tumbling down into the pavement.

Alucard slowly approached, the entire crowd, guard and citizens alike, had fallen silent, watching this man, who seemed to radiate an aura of power far beyond their grasping and understanding. He put his weapon away, and slowed as he neared her, began to cackle as she tried to crawl frantically away. "Tsk, the mighty vampire is running from a fight' Come, regenerate, stand up and fight me!" he shouted, and she whimpered, crawled faster and faster, desperate to get away from this man, this vampire, this monster.

He sighed, sounding thoroughly disappointed, and then rushed to her, driving his hand cleanly through her skull, then wrenching it free, he walked away. Both of the vampires were dead both reduced to ash and dust, all could only stand and watch as the crimson man walked out of sight.

The third night of hunting had come, and as always, Alucard was easily following the trail of his prey. Another male, this vampire was a drow though, a dark elf turned bloodsucker. He smirked at the thought, only recently had he learned of this race of subterranean elves, but he found them oh so amusing.

"Hmm?" said the vampire, draped in all red as he stood atop a building, peering down at Rhy"Din's marketplace. He had, very surprisingly, lost the trail. His prey had seemed to just vanish, probably the world's magical entity called the Nexus. Sighing, deciding the hunt would have to wait for another time; Alucard dropped from the roof, and decided to use this time to explore a bit further.

His exploration took him to a small little shop known as Teas"n Tomes. He seeped in through the shadows of the shop, appearing as a large blood red eye that peered down at the room, almost angrily, and happened to see a woman enter. Smirking, Alucard lowered himself from the inky depths of that shadow, and approached the woman, they sat, they talked, introduced themselves, her name was Darcy, she crawled into his lap, he fed, and they kissed.

As strange as it all was, they kissed, quite a bit; it almost got out of hand. Something Alucard wasn't new to, but something he hadn't experienced in centuries. Odd, how this sociopathic vampire was so easily subdued by the woman, and vice versa. She left after a time, and so did he, he had things to do, a hunt to continue.

Later on that very evening his initial target was found, stalking with the speed and stealth that was so well known of the drow. But no amount of stealth on that drow turned undead's part could help him outrun or hide from Alucard. He smirked at the male's pitiful attempt at escaping him, and cackled maddeningly as he dropped down in front of the drow, who gave a startled gasp in response.

Seems Alucard's reputation was quickly growing amongst the vampire community.

"Get back, I know who you are!" the drow shouted as he backed up a bit, preparing to turn into a full out flight.

"Good, then you know what I'm here for too I'm guessing?" Alucard asked with an ever present smirk as he stepped forward.

"I know what you're here to do, and I know that if you try it, you'll fail and will be the one lying dead rather than myself," the drow said, puffing his chest up, baring his fangs, attempting to look intimidating. To which Alucard merely smirked.

"Is that so?" Alucard asked as he stepped even closer. "Prove it," he challenged with a wide and wicked smirk.

With that challenge, the drow rushed forward, drawing a concealed dagger that drove straight into Alucard's throat with a sickening sound of slicing flesh and crunching bone, ripping right through his spinal column.

Much to the drow's surprise, Alucard laughed, laughed at him insanely, and lifted his hand up, holding the Jackal, and pressed the barrel of the black gun against the drow's equally dark forehead.

"Shame, I thought you might be able to back up your words, I've heard such promising things about the drow?" he paused, almost frowning. "Oh well?" then his finger tightened on the trigger, a bullet flew free, and the drow was no more.
