District 30 District 30 was a large city built and based on the 1930's time era of Earth. The entire city and its people respected and loved this time era, so they all dressed, acted, and talked the part as well. This swinging synergy bebop city was located on top of a large and massive Building called "Monopoly". For lack of a better word, this entire planet was one large mega city with even more regular city's built on the roof tops of these mammoth architecture.

The morning sun was only a few inches out from its rising point. The smell of the morning mist fading mixed with the fresh scent of morning flowers filled the air. The small bells hanging over the doors sounded as shop keepers and owners unlocked they're doors and swung them open to prep for the morning customers. The sound of up-beat bebop fusion jazz sounded through the speakers of every corner lamp post, filling the streets with life and energy. Humans, androids, and creatures of other descent began to fill the streets early in the morning to shop in the street market, grab a bite to eat at the local diner " or grab a cup of Joe at the local "Cup"O Joe Coffee Brewery' which is where this small segment takes place.

Dressed in his casual Friday morning black and white pinstriped suit topped with a fedora hat walked Syn Belarus. He had decided to meet an old friend in District 30. His shiny black shoes reflected the blue sky set over the city of District 30, his walk seemed to have carried a tune as well. His gray hair was slicked back like a wise guy, yet charming. A red flower in his front breast pocket and a cigarette wedged in his lips. His love for this city was as grand as any other citizen walking its streets. The time era was classy and distinguished compared to other time eras. Yet, he was out of place and others around him knew it. People along the side walks took a glance and knew he was sent by the empire. But, he wasn't here for them, nor was he looking for hostile encounters. The small time mobs in the district were mostly clean and just stayed with the non-harmful vices of the time; Gambling, Bootlegging, and women.

"Yo Joe, I wanna talk with ya for a moment." Syn said as he walked through the open door of Cup"O Joe Coffee Brewery. Joe came from behind the coffee bar, looking around at his customers socializing and enjoying the free wi-fi in the establishment. Hoping not to lose any clientele because of Syn" visit. "Yea, whada ya want' If you're here because of my permits then?" Joe replied in his husky tone. His eyes constantly looking over Syn" as if searching for a gun or some sort of weapon he could use at any moment. Syn returned the gaze to the simple shop owner and gave a smile. "I'm not here because of any permit, that's not my job. I'm here because you witnessed something you shouldn't have." Joe quickly took a step back thinking that he was with the mob that had put a hit on him. His knees weak and trembling in fear for him very life.

Syn gave a brief smile and clarified why exactly he was there in district 30. "I'm here as your protection." He clarified. "Protection?" Joe replied. "Yeah, at least until I can get you out of district 30 and into Core jurisdiction. Joe seemed reluctant at first but just as he went to grab his coat from the wall rack he felt the uneasiness in his stomach from the sound of screeching tires taking a sharp turn. It was the hit, going down all that morning. Syn put his hand on Joe's back and forced him to the ground, "Get down!" He quickly slammed the front door shut and took cover himself as the sound of high velocity faisson ion rounds ripped from the inners of a Tommy gun replica with guts of high-tech firearms. The piercing mags tore through the front door and shattered the windows of the coffee brewery. Mugs, glass containers of cream and sugar, napkins, metal brewers, and espresso machines were ripped through with ease leaving one hell of a mess. Some wounded but most took cover.

Syn sat up taking his hat off to see the burnt holes in its fine fabric. All the more reason to get out of town as soon as possible. Grabbing Joe by the collar of his coat and lifting him to his trembling feet he began to lead him to the front door cautiously not knowing what could be awaiting them outside. Raising a leg up in front of him and kicking his foot forward Syn managed to take the front door clear off its hinged hitting two thugs square in the face taking them out of commission for a long while. Just as they reached the street the large lit up green sign that hung on the front of the shop screamed as bolts gave way and let the signage drop to the ground. Its neon lights popping and bursting with sparks - seemed like everything was made in china. Across the street was Syn's on loan law enforcement land-sky vehicle was parked and ready for take off.

"What did you see?" Syn asked to Joe. "I" I saw" I saw a man being killed. A man from the Core Agency." Joe replied as if pleading for his life that very moment. "No wonder they want you dead so badly, that could put them away for good. It's enough that they have crime syndicates all over District 30 " But it's even worse when you know they have they're hands dirty in off planet affairs as well." Syn said with a bit of disgust in his tone. Syn guided Joe to the vehicle with impatient quick steps, yet stopped as he noticed a small device with a crimson light pulsing in the reflection of a puddle seen under his car; A bomb. His eyes seeing the numbers count down on its face clock; 3 —- 2 —-
