Friday, May 8th
Location: Little Elfhame; Old Market District (Marketplace on Dragon's Mark)
Time: 9:00pm EST
The streets of Old Market, in and around the neighborhood known as Little Elfhame, have been utterly transformed for the Beltane Street Festival.
Instead of the simple string-light decorations from years past, there are hundreds of thousands of paper flowers strung from building to building, illuminated by lanterns and forming a canopy of flora. Many of the paper flowers were created by those visiting the Spring Arts & Crafts Fair on Wednesday. https://bcn-tour.com/files/Barcelona%20Chapters/Festivals%20and%20Events/fiesta_gracia_barcelona.jpghttp://static4.demotix.com/sites/default/files/imagecache/a_scale_large/1300-4/photos/1395164.jpghttp://pocketcultures.com/topicsoftheworld/files/2011/07/streets-of-Tomar.jpghttps://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/236x/43/38/ea/4338ea4fb42cf871493ba5b513e74e51.jpghttp://vadoabarcellona.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/festa-major-degracia.jpg
Beneath this aerial tapestry of color are vendors of every sort to satisfy the needs of all festival goers. There are food and drink booths to satiate the hungriest, thirtiest visitors. There is also an area set up with picnic tables for those who do not wish to walk, talk, and eat at the same time. Amidst the seating area is a small fire, lit from the original one the May Queen started on Saturday.
Near to the seating area, there is a low stage where different musicians will be playing throughout the night. Wandering throughout the crowd are other entertainers: singers, dancers, jugglers, and story-tellers.
There is a stretch of street dedicated to different fair games for those who wish to try their luck at winning a prize and others are there to support local charities. Some of the games and attractions include: *Dunking Booth *Kissing Booth *Bowling pin game *Fish bowl toss *Water gun race *Ring toss *Target practice *Strong man/woman Competition *Bobbing for Apples *Archery
Along a different part of the street are many booths where shopkeepers, artisans, and crafters (both local and from afar) can ply their wares.
((If your character is going to run any type of booth (food, drink, game, sales) please post below before Wednesday, May 6th. Please feel free to have your character run one of the listed gaming booths (or make up your own!) too.
Everyone can start posting their outfits on Thursday, May 7th!))
