The fountain will mark the beginning of the promenade with either side of the walk way available on a first come, first choice basis.

Colorful strings of paper lanterns will help the lamps light the way as they run from one unique booth to the next.

Once again, The White Stag Pub will have its portable bar set up within the Stag's green canvas tent ....surely, you cannot miss it.

On hand to pour shot glasses of our Specialty Meads are bartenders Gunnar and Cole. Shy is certain to be around, as well.

Stop by and sample our featured mead (newest addition to our drink menu): Zazzy Yasmj'd, a wild and refreshing, blue-coloured honey mead that has adults feeling like little kids again. But be careful, imbibing too much of this full bodied, high ABV percentage mj'd and you may find your world suddenly shifting.

Keep the shot glass as a token of our appreciation!

Renegade Regalia, Inc. is known for the gorgeous craftsmanship of their jewelry and the potent sorcery of enchants and are happy to present a shining jewel within their ranks: Seventh Heaven Spirit!

http://i.imgur.com/8vPnBQO.png

Seventh Heaven Spirit is an elixir brewed by the hands of the most beautiful Morganite Titans with its contents remain a forever mystery to foreigners but certain ingredients can easily be detected: A striking, bubbly wine that is irresistible with its fresh amaranth hue and pleasing, lasting effervescence. Crisp aromas of acacia flower, apple, white peach and citrus fruit captivate the nose before the palate is satisfied with an avalanche of fresh and delicate flavors that culminate in a tantalizing and memorable ending — or not. Seventh Heaven Spirit has been known to have certain side effects that range from hallucinations, sudden bouts of inspiration, romanticism, and enlightenment.

A long with Seventh Heaven Spirit, a collection of Chrysoberyl Titan Cognac's will be available for the less adventurous to try:

http://i.imgur.com/dmkIjNp.jpg

Half-Moon Rose: The taste of crystallized fruit, wild roses, and earth tones, a whittling down of a trademark taste to its barest, most essential, and most wonderful. Blending the most spectacular eaux-de-vie, Half-Moon Rose is made by seven generations of blend masters.

Dark Water: This 140 year old cognac is the Chrysoberyl Titans oldest known unblended cognac. With hints of coffee, chocolate, and big oak in this spirits complex flavor.

Torrid Fever: With a blend of five rare, distinct eaux-de-vie from five different Titan regions, the taste produced is of a mellow and creamy vanilla, mixed with tropical fruits, and a full, rich accent highlighted by the spicy and woody notes. Released to celebrate Anivion's one hundred and fiftieth wife.

Noir Night: With a highly structured taste, the Noir Night possesses flavors of creamy honey, oak, leather, spice, and chocolate and was, like many cognacs on this list, only released in limited quantities due to the ingredients being illegal substances from O'oaque. Bottled in a crystal decanter with thin layers of titanium, carbon, and gold.

Phantasm: Known as a ritual cognac through the ranks of the Sphene Titan mages during their more spiritual courtships. The taste is reminiscent of dried poppies and roses, fruity notes, and woody flavors such as cedar and sandalwood.

Gates of Utopia: Well known as Madame Una Vogue's favorite within the unforgettable line of cognac's. Honeyed, caramel-like, oily bouquet with the taste of dates, roasted almond, candied walnut and baked pear delight.

Wild Eros: A cognac specifically for the more feminine palate. An ultra-luxury blend, with no aggressive flavors of wood or tobacco present. Exotic notes of buttered caramel, cocoa, rich brown spices, and a touch of pink peppercorn flavors, rounded out by an amazingly smooth and silky finish.

Aura Arouse: Made with the libido in mind, this unique cognac stirs the wanton needs of men and women. Fragrant orange marmalade, vanilla bean, flint, and brown spice aromas. A soft supple entry leads to a rich, dry, yet fruity full-bodied palate, with vibrant peppery spices, caramel, and ashy minerals.

Madame Una Vogue will be present a long with many of the other staff from Renegade Regalia, including her daughter, Ana Vogue. Una will also be keeping a careful eye on any that stumble a little too much within the vicinity of the Renegade Regalia tent a long with stacks of wet naps to hand to those who have recently indulged in any of the food other vendors offered.

(OOC: Icons will be distributed to all that participate in this years Boozefest, either by playing during the live event or those that simply post on the forums. Special icons of the Seventh Heaven Spirit will also be given to all those that mention Renegade Regalia in their posts, either on the forum or during the live event. Happy writing! )

August 12, Late Evening

It was mere days before Booze Fest 2016 was set to kick off, but that hadn't nor would it stop the beer enthusiasts and their proud brewers from coming out ahead of time and watching the booths rise from the ground up out of jumbled tent and stand components. Lanterns had lit with the descent of the sun over the trees, and musical crickets, waltzing fireflies, and silent mosquitos flooded in to attend the little-mentioned, members only soiree. One such mosquito made his way to the thick skin of a red-bearded dwarf enjoying a stein of ale within his own lot of advertising space in the Botanical Gardens, and he was swift to squash it soon after taking notice of its landing, only then relaxing back into his much too-reclined wooden lawn chair.

"Beht earleh fer Christmas eh, Andan?" the dwarf asked his rock-star outfitted company, still finding sense in wearing sunglasses at sunset, while pointing his stein out ahead of their backyard table set. He was referring to the central and likely focal point of his Sunday display which would feature him receiving (18 and older) visitors on his lap and hearing their mid-summer wishes a la Santa Claus. A modest number of signs on stands advertised this as Saint Ouen's Rar Deephand, Brewmaster and Rhy'Din native, the Owner himself of 'Sainte-Ouen's Brewing Co. and Deephand Distillery,' meeting fans and posing for pictures on a replica Dwarven Mountain Lord throne this Booze Fest. A quick sit and a picture with the dwarf, not shying away from an exorbitant fee, allotted the customer a voucher for them and a +1 to visit his brewery as well as automatic entry into a raffle after a 'keg walk' at the end of Booze Fest. It sounded like fun.

"Bit hot for it, I'll say that much," his friend, Chris Andan, replied.

"E'll be lookin' a feul come Sundeh. Aye want ev'rywoene t'know theh idea wasn't miene." He laughed on his way into his stein. Chris smiled.

"There'll be plenty of photographs to immortalize the event, good or bad, but I wouldn't worry. The event hasn't seen a bad year yet."

"Aye. Eh've hurdt gudt thenggs, especially weth yew nearbye: the 'Event Mastar' himself! Andt hoewe cud it not sell meh weth uh naeme lieke 'Booze Fest"'" The dwarf laughed again, and then things grew quiet and comfortable between them. They were able to let the pleasant scents rise up out of their mugs: the first-poured servings from the Booze Fest kegs of Mountain Roald Dark Ale. Laughter on the other side of the gardens was picked up, and the two men both felt at ease, and yet still in very different places in their minds.

"Rhy'Din?" Chris began with a mysterious hint of affection. "I love this place." He took another drink, and Rar looked at him suspiciously.

"Aye?" he added, "long history, 'heare? Angus boy! C'mere!" Raising his voice suddenly, Rar caught the attention of the curious Scottish Terrier beginning to wander from the table. He proved disciplined however, returning right then to the work-worn hand of the dwarf that was hanging over the chair arm.

Not too difficult to strain in view of was a neighboring booth that was similarly taking the time beforehand to put the finishing touches on their display. They were a larger group, and as could be imagined were much louder, but Chris and Rar found them symbolic of both the realm and a good drink among friends. Within that congregation of summer-dressed beer fans was the third chair at Rar and Chris's table: Gerard Smith, in attendance specially with Chris tonight to get the scoop on who would be in attendance this weekend as well as meet with a few high profile friends common to he and Chris's everyday dealings. It would likely be more business than fun for the two of them this Booze Fest, Chris thought, but depending on the attention Rar garnered on Sunday, the spotlight might make it a dry event in the sun for the red-bearded mountain lord as well.

"It's good seeing you again, Rar. I know you keep busy with your company. It can't be easy to travel like this all the time. I'll be here walking around with Gerard most likely Sunday. I'll try to stop by before you have to go back to Saint Aldwin," Chris said.

"Ei'd lieke that, Andan. Wasn't yesterday et seems lieke ouere surroundens wur vary diff'rent. Bafoere weh becaeme entrepreneurs!"

"Not just us," Chris said on a long pause overlooking the evening garden. "So many of us have all come so far from home."

A heavy thought weighed on Chris carrying the memories of so many countless persons he'd met since moving from his own home and coming to Rhy'Din; others like himself who came from a place that couldn't have prepared them enough for the mixture of cultures that Rhy'Din had amassed and the endless possibilities that would provide. Pulling him back to reality was a stein-clanking toast.

"E'ere's tu gudt beer, and bettar friends. E'ere's tu Booze Fest," Rar said. Chris smirked.

"Here's to Booze Fest."

Date: 2016-08-14 01:07 EST
Set near the back of the Third Annual Booze Fest was a trio of tents, each twenty feet square. Each tent was designed with a backdrop to shield from what little sun may have remained at festival time, as well as to provide ambience. Other than the backdrop, the tents were open on the other three sides.

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/93832244/AF-Sign—-2016-RDI-Sized.png

On the left hand side, a tent that almost looked like it was decorative glass, and emblazoned with the logo of the Alchemist's Fire. And behind the counter, the master alchemist herself, Ammy Spiritor. She had a wide variety of wares for sale here, including:

Coasters of Hospitality Green Clover Tonic Phoenix Weed Potion A Charmer's Sip Cup o' Corgi (5lb gift set!) Aged Nagrah Tea Samplers Dragon Iced Tea

She's also mixed up a drink, inspired by DJ Zazzy, called a Blue Diva. It's a combination of the finest products of the Anniston Gardens Distillery and Den City that will be sure to knock your socks off!

Regrettably, the Alchemist's Fire must insist on the signing of a release form to purchase Nagrah.

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/93832244/MWGS-Sign-2016-RDI-Size.png

On the right hand side, a tent that looked like an old-time general store, emblazoned with the logo of the Moon Wake General Store. Moon Wake's proprietor, Fleet Wolf, had his own set of wares to provide including:

Foxy Hills Cocoary Gourmet Hot Chocolates Three Whiskers Chocolate/Huuntahr's Sassafras Liqueur Gift Sets Huuntahr's Artisan Root Beer Fizzy Cog Carbonated Drinks a wide assortment of llama wool knit caps, scarves, gloves, and bags

In addition, there are free samples of cookies, candies, snack bags, and fruit from Den City crafters, along with samples of popcorn popped in bacon fat!

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/93832244/AGD-Sign-2016-RDI-Sized.png

Smack dab in the middle was a relatively plain-looking tent. Well, except for all the tacky Christmas lights on it, as well as the Anniston Gardens Distillery logo. Master distiller Leroy J. Reindeer had brought a few of his wares along for sale, including:

Wolf's Bite Wolf's Kiss Wolf's Love Evergreen Dream Redneck Reserve

Of course, all of his beverages were available to sample; rather than the fancy containers Ammy or Fleet may have used, Leroy was using shot glasses shaped like the ubiquitous scarlet cup found at any redneck function. Of course, if one wanted to purchase any other whiskeys of his, they could always be ordered and shipped directly to one's place of residence. Shipped may be the wrong word here; Leroy would probably deliver them personally within the week.

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/93832244/AFC-Llama-petting-zoo.png

To the left of the three tents was set up a small petting zoo, featuring a half dozen llamas conjured up by Merlin Spiritor. For a nominal fee, visitors can pet the llamas and take pictures with them! Please note, only two L llamas are featured in the petting zoo, as a one L lama is a religious figure and a three L lllama is a large conflagration.

All profits from items sold at Booze Fest 2016 will be donated to the Dreamchasing Foundation.

Kate had been nigh-well salivating for the past week, looking forward to Booze Fest. That could only be topped by Money Fest, during which people gave her money for free. But Booze Fest was a really good runner up!

The petite woman with the screaming personality reeled from booth to booth to sample and socialize, network while she worked it.

The Redneck

The redneck made the rounds, starting at the Garden Home's booth, sampling this and that here and there. A very busy girl she was, and very distracted, she made damn sure to visit each and every booth, each and every exhibitor before the night was through.

Saila and Hex arrived together, though they split up for a time as each made their way along the booths collecting samples and shot glasses in a different direction. They met up periodically, comparing notes and deciding where to go get seconds together.

Of particular note were the Hangman Distillery liquors at the Sassy Owl Saloon booth, the Yazana Azul at The Brambles booth, pretty much everything but especially the Seventh Heaven Spirit at the Renegade Regalia booth (where Saila spent as much time staring at the bottles as she did trying the various offerings), and getting a few minutes to bother James (and try the Shapeshifter) at the Lost Pub and Brewery booth.

When the couple had their fill of booze (....a tall order, that) and had seen to it that everyone else they knew had made it safely into a cab, they would wander off together - likely some of the very last attendants standing.

Though he wasn't normally much of a drinker, Ebon couldn't let BoozeFest pass without attending. He and Phen set Doran in charge of his sisters for the evening and, both dressed with casual elegance, put in their appearance for the occasion. Both paid tribute to the Year of the Yas in their attire, with Ebon's shirt and Phen's dress a rich, matching shade of blue.

The Governor sampled themed drinks from several booths, and was particularly pleased with the selections from the two orchards: Yasberry Slushies from The Brambles and Yasmimosa from Gardenhome.

Though not a vendor of libations itself, Shining Star Glassworks still found a way to get into the theme of this year's BoozeFest. In addition to its usual selection of mugs and stemware—including custom etchwork by request—Ciarth and his crew had special blue goblets available.

"It's the Year of the Yas," the sign at the booth stated. "Make your every glass a Yas glass!"

Yasmin tried to fit in with the beautiful Botanical Garden colors with her own bright orange and green accessories, including an orange flower in her hair. She went with a white outfit and her typical short, stark white hair to show off her signature bright blue skin.

Thanks to the running interns and a few fans, as Yas was signing autographs at the WHAM! 101.1FM booth, she was rewarded with several samples of her Yasminspired drinks. By the time she tried the second dozen-th, she couldn't really remember which one was which, but she definitely enjoyed each one. The more she sampled, the wilder her autograph messages became"

"Bring me some of those baby burger things. XOXO, Yas" "Those Bigley twins are looking hot!" "Fun fact " Yazana means apple in Spanish. With amore, Yas" "Rumor Mill Mills is the funniest thing! I love it!" "Notes to self. 1) get a blue sock, 2) make my own brewery"" "Tell Shy I'm changing my name to Yasmead! Love, Yasmead" "BRING ME A BLUE GOBLET!" "Pick up a "The Shapeshifter". Signed, Jasmine. Wait. That's not right"" "Phantasm was going to be called Phan Yas"Mmm but there were copyright issues." "What's a Snozzberry"" "Why does the Shanachie get a drink" Don't worry - I'm still winning the count." "If I had a taste, I think I would taste like an evergreen" Don't know why"" "Death by chocolate" Bring it on! Only the good die young. XO, Yas"

During her various bathroom breaks, Yas would hop around to the different booths, trying to hit each one. In her drunken daze, she may have happened onto the same booth about four or six times and accumulated quite a collection of shot glasses and goblets and other things that she may have thought were being given away...

Some nights turn with miracles.

The Hellion arrives late to the party, as per usual, but she's not looking for trouble or no one. She's keeping to herself and to the shadows; nothing new there to a degree, but tonight she's throwing waves of anxiety like desert heat in June.

But, for the storm that's turning, there's an eye, and in the middle, smack bang, stands Grey. It's a hug and a few soft-spoke words that stop the super-cell from forming, like maybe what?s between them could hold back the high waters...

Beer sips and and hip-checks. But it ends all too soon..

Menace and co. spill into view; no time to linger, to chase Taneth, to get drunk, there's only time to GO. And they do. Through a utility door and underneath the city, hand in hand, nighthawks on the run...

She may or may not have said "I'm totally getting drunk off you." to Yas during the night as she drunk the different blue-themed drinks. Nevermind. She said it multiple times. Would have been better to say she got hammered off Yas with how she collapsed and passed out by the end of the night.

Yay for taxis!

Having been out of town for a couple of weeks to visit a sick family member, Grace and Mark got back just in time to check out BoozeFest. Grace wasn't much of a drinker (and couldn't handle her liquor hardly at all because of it), so they didn't stay terribly long, but the gypsy couple needed to get out and have some fun pretty desperately.

Their first stop was to the Wham! 101 booth, where Grace spent a little time talking to DJ Zazzy Yas and helping to promote the Dyeing to Surf giveaway. It was a pretty good bet that both Mark and Grace walked away with new t-shirts, whether they were able to talk Yas out of them or just maybe tackled an intern. The siren call of a free shirt is nigh irresistible, you know.

Next up was the Sassy Owl, both because it was the place that amazing pizza Serah had shared with them came from and because - yay food! Grace could be seen cheerfully trying all of the delicious snack offerings while Mark tried out some of the new whiskeys.

Temporarily stuffed, the pair made their way on to Two Moons Cola, where Grace tried the Blue as Zazzy Punch and Mark checked out a Habanero Lime Rickey. Both of them sampled several of the sodas. Moving on to the Rumors Mill Winery, Vineyard and Bed and Breakfast, Grace giggled like a fool when she realized that this was the Bed and Breakfast whose parking lot they'd ended up in that one time, and she inquired most innocently as to the quality of their pancakes as she tasted the wine.

At The Lost Pub and Brewery, the place Saila had told them about, each of them had a Shapeshifter and then Mark flashed his Sassy Owl shot glass to try one of the beers. At Brambles Orchard, Grace—already feeling warm and a little wobbly- had a little sip of Mark's Yazana Azul and then sampled a couple of the juices.

There was a quick pause at the Moon Wake General Store, because hello chocolate and popcorn made in bacon fat! Could be that a slightly tipsy Grace pocketed some cookies for later, too. There were more cookies to be had - and pizza, too! Grace could get behind a festival with this much free food - at Nicole's Bistro and Pizzeria.

Finally, their increasingly meandering path led the gypsies to Renegade Regalia, where Grace spent as much time fawning over the beautiful bottles as anything. Each tested out a cognac or two - and the flush on the tiny stylist's cheeks was surely attributable to the alcohol at that point, surely — before sharing a taste of the Seventh Heaven Spirit.

In absolutely no condition to get home on their own - or stay in public for much longer, either, for that matter - Mark could be seen carrying his inebriated girlfriend to a side street, practically having to hold her upright as they waited a short while for their ride to pick them up.
