On the outside, the Wonderplex Sweet Shoppe is reminiscent of the children's board game called Candy Land. Pick some fruit off the gumdrop trees, pluck a lollipop, or sample the cotton candy floss.

There is a gingerbread and peppermint stick themed play area in the rear for the young ones to burn off some energy.

Indoors, there will be cake and cookie decorating demonstrations and lessons with Rhydin's well known p?tissier, Katt Batten. Children will be given treat boxes to carry their edible treasures home with them. For those that wish to try their hand at making their own ice cream sundae, staff will be on hand to offer assistance.

Ebon taught all of his kids, by blood or fosterage, to make sure they took care of their teeth, brushing every morning and night....so he had no qualms about treating the entire bunch to fun at the Sweet Shoppe. While the younger children ran about in the peppermint playground under Doran's watchful eye—his first time as chaperone, having just reached 15—the elder kids relaxed indoors with tasty snacks, or watched Katt work her pastry magic.

For his part, Ebon was in the latter group. Although no stranger to the kitchen, he admitted little knowledge and much fascination with the art of the patisserie.

Naturally, everyone got sundaes before they left. Because ice cream!
