Ladies and Gentleman! Children of all ages!
This upcoming Saturday, April 13th, will mark the observance of this year's Children's Day, where we celebrate one of the most precious things in the realm: The youth in our lives!
In honor of the children and with the support of her ladyship, our Governor Fionna al-Mat, the Lady Aja Bird has graciously donated the use of her local petting zoo as the locale for the day's festivities. Admission to enter will be free.
In addition to the normal attractions offered by the zoo, which includes any number of animal rides outside of the normal petting/feeding of animals, the grounds have been expanded and elaborated on to include a 'lazy river'. Within the winding, watery path it provides, guests will be able to soak up the splendor of the sights from their very own bumper-style boats powered by water-pump engines!
Not the seafaring type" There will be a youth roller coaster, The Venerable Wyrm; a dragon-prowed ride that will take it's passengers on a wonderful journey through the magical world of books, as famous stories and timeless classics come to live before your very eyes! Follow it up with the spinning madness of the Tea Cup ride!
For the truly ambitious and adventuresome lot, local dueling celebrity Terry King and well-regarded philanthropist Dillon T. Jones will be helping to suit up all takers in the inflatable RoH Jr. ring! It is within this air filled cage of giggle-inducing peril that children and adults alike can don inflatable sumo wrestling suits or boxing gloves, having at one another to the comical delight of all!
Not feeling combative, but still want a thrill" The the velcro suit jump could be right for you!
From the carousel to carnival games, attendees of all ages can take their leisure or try their luck, winning a little rest or a wide variety of prizes. There will be food vendors galore, from small stands to some of your favorite locale restaurants and bakeries offering up their treats! Among them will be any number of merchandise tables, hawking wares that range from a variety of children's clothes and toys, novelties, and even something for the adults too!
Full of too much funnel cake and want to be entertained from the comfort of your backside? Local purveyors of the arcane mysteries, Eregor and Rhiannon Brock will be dazzling audiences of all ages with a magic show!
With the coming of the evening and winding down of events, the holiday spectacular will be capped off with an impressive display of fireworks.
So, come, bring the kids! The oldsters! Your friends! Celebrate our children and put a smile one their faces! We look forward to seeing you there!
