Date: Saturday, September 12th
Time: 9:00pm EST
Location: Dockside Baronial Mansion (RDIāThe Docks)
Setting: The large warehouse that served as the baronial mansion for Dockside had recently undergone a bit of sprucing up. Jewell Ravenlock, Empress Baroness of Dockside, had seen the place cleaned, painted, and renovated over the past several weeks. Anyone who ventured inside the warehouse would find it clean but empty; the entrance to the living quarters locked.
The real party was outside on the concrete quay and adjoining dock. Up against the building on the quay, there was a fully-stocked bar and knowledgeable bartender situated to one side of the warehouse bay doors. On the other side of the doors stood a large weapons rack with a variety of swords (including blunt edged and wooden practice ones), daggers, bludgeoning objects, axes, polearms, and anything else a weapons lover could think up.
A barge was anchored alongside the dock, a gangplank allowing easy access to the vessel aboard which were arranged a number of tables and chairs for spectators. There was also special seating reserved there for the dueling officials of the evening.
The rings for dueling were drawn out on the long, wooden dock itself. There was room enough for a single row of them extending out over the water and a small aisle to the side for those wishing to walk around ongoing duels to reach the further rings.
A number of ropes and life jackets had been placed on the barge for the assistance of those who may fall into the water at some point during the night.
Game Rules: The Baroness of Dockside, holding this party in her own honor, has dared the duelists to attempt the following drinking game if they have the courage and strength to do so.
For every full point scored during a duel, the scored upon duelist will take a full shot of a beverage chosen before the duel began. For half points, only half a shot need be taken by the scored upon duelist. In the event that both duelists score, both will take a shot.
The bartender had been instructed to prepare two speciality shots for the duelist in addition to any other they might request: Blue Kamikaze 1 part vodka 1 part blue curacao 1 part lime juice
Royal Flush 1 part whiskey 1 part peach schnapps 1 part raspberry liqueur
((OOC Notes: Dockside Daggers and Drinks night will be a LOSS FREE night of Duel of Swords dueling.
What does this mean' It means it is the perfect night to try Duel of Swords if you have not yet done so! You can lose all night long as you learn without it ever counting against your record.
Need an excuse for why your character is losing all night' They've been drinking too much!
Saturday night will still be a Fight Night, meaning you can duel in any sport you want. However, the loss free special only applies to Duel of Sword duels.
Feel free to post polyvore sets and all that goodness here.))
