Date: Saturday, October 10th Time: 9:00pm EST Place: Dockside Baronial Mansion (RDI—The Docks)

Setting The large warehouse that serves as the baronial mansion for Dockside is currently under the patronage of Jewell Ravenlock, Empress Baroness of Dockside. Anyone who ventured inside the warehouse would find it clean and full of goods. There are several employees of the current Baroness willing to direct visitors to the bathroom and protect any merchandise from disappearing in the process.

The real party is outside on the concrete quay and adjoining dock. Up against the building on the quay, there is a fully-stocked bar and knowledgeable bartender situated to one side of the warehouse bay doors. The speciality drink for the evening is a Hot Toddy: *1" ounce brown liquor such as brandy, whiskey or rum *1 tablespoon honey *" ounce lemon juice *1 cup hot water *Lemon wedge, cinnamon stick and star anise, for garnish

Near the bar, there are also several tables of food. There are giant tureens of different types of soup kept warm and bread bowls to spoon it into. There are several different types of warm, appetizer-type finger foods: pigs in a blanket, mini quiches, melted brie with cranberries sauce on crackers. There is also a whole table of just dessert food; apple and pumpkin seemed to be a recurring theme there.

On the other side of the doors stands a large weapons rack with a variety of swords (including blunt edged and wooden practice ones), daggers, bludgeoning objects, axes, polearms, and anything else a weapons lover could think up. Near the weapons rack are stacked a number of ropes and life jackets for the assistance of those who may fall into the water at some point during the night and can't swim.

There are dozens of small tables set up around fire pits (traditional metal pits, ceramic chimenias, and some repurposed garbage cans) along the rest of the quay and the dock. There are also some fire-pit tables. All the available seating—including some rather comfortable looking chairs raised up on a dais and surrounding a low fire-pit table—have a perfect view of the water below.

The Fun Part The water below is where the action is happening! Instead of rings, there are at least a dozen rafts in the water for dueling on because, in the words of The Empress Baroness, "Every squire needs to be challenged!" Some are legit rafts, floating on latched together barrels. Others are just the barrels themselves tied loosely together, creating a rather treacherous dueling platform. There are ladders for people to get down to the rafts as well as for those who end up in the water to get out and warm themselves by the fire.

((OOC Notes: Fight Like a Squire Night is a DoS event: Every person ranked below Warlord will be given an extra fancy to use in every one of their duels on this night to experience what it is like to fight like a squire.

What does this mean' It means it is the perfect night to try Duel of Swords if you have not yet done so! We're giving you a boost for the night to level the playing ground a bit against some of the more experienced fighters.

Since this is also a regular fight night, all other duels will be available!))
