On Saturday at 9 by the Eastern clock, Fight Night will be held at the Cadentia Bazaar!

The Cadentia Bazaar is a mile-long market street, winding its way past stalls and storefronts selling rare spices from beyond the desert, salvaged parts from space hulks, enchanted trinkets, fine silks, and other goods from all across the Multiverse.

Halfway down the bazaar is a space enclosed by towering columns, brightly patterned awnings and banners that dangle all the way to the floor. The air is thick with the smell of spices, grilled food on skewers and strong drink, served by the vendors clustered around the edges. Mosaic tiles spiral into the shape of four dueling rings, with shimmering protective wards flaring to life as soon as the fights begin, signalled by the heavy tolling of a bell.

In the center is a massive, headless statue with plush cushions piled into its lap, serving as a perch for the caller overseeing the duels.

Please use this thread to post your character’s outfits and anything about your character visiting the bazaar that you wish to share ahead of the event!))

Jewell (if she actually showed up for the duels and didn't get "lost" elsewhere in the bazaar) was wearing a loose vest styled shirt which protected her skin from the heat of the setting sun and left the scar over her heart partially exposed (along with a lot of other skin). The scarf that covered her hair would probably come off as the evening wore on.

Mallory showed up to the Bazaar late in the afternoon, taking several hours to browse for wares for the Lyceum — as well as a few items of clothing and jewelry for herself and Eri.

Before the duels started she set up shop in one of the stalls looking out on the rings, lining the edges with gauzy crimson curtains and affixing a lambda over a brass scroll to the very top, marking the stall with the symbol of her store. She had draughts of speed and strength, focus and vigor; rods of battle and wands of steel, to transform the graceful motions of an experienced swordsman into magical spells, or to conjure clashing blades with the simple swish-and-flick that scholarly wizards were more accustomed to; and enchanted trinkets designed to bolster the defenses of the wearer or bend luck in subtle ways.

All of it a critical aid to duelists, or so she would claim as she hawked her wares to fighters and spectators leading up to and throughout the fights.

Not that she wouldn't fight. The small vials of blood she kept tucked into the stitching in the waist of her skirt were useful conjuring agents, and in a moment she could create a crimson specter to watch the stall and engage with customers in her stead; or to drift out into the rings to do battle at her bidding.

Sira showed up in the early evening to the bazaar to hopefully get in a little shopping when it was a little cooler. She intended to keep a tight fist on her wallet, but end up being talked into a lovely woven throw rug for the house, a bunch of spices that smelled wonderful (even though she's rarely home to cook) and one last little trinket that was the only thing she didn't have packed to ship north— a peculiar piece of jewelry that she found a discreet spot to put on. The leather band that held it up needed to be secured *very* high on her thigh, but what was visible (only when the breeze caught her dress just right) was the dual layers of chains and coins that stopped just a little past her slip.

And on Kheldar's advice, she spent the afternoon finding a way to wear Pathfinder, the green opal now set in a new brass cuff on her wrist.
