The Redemption River Boat Casino - Grand Opening this Weekend!

Rhydinites of all colors, species, and businesses have been extended invitations to the public opening of the Redemption, a river boat casino leaving nightly from Dockside. The festivities start on Friday and continue through-out the course of the weekend, as hosted by that glorious bastard extraordinaire, Sinjin Fai.

Guests will be indulged with evening of hors d'oeuvres, drinks, dancing, and a few complimentary tokens to start them off on their gambling endeavors; there are rooms in the boat that can be rented if guests wish to stay the evening or come and go as they please and experience the entertainment and relaxation of Redemption!

This is an on-going event throughout the weekend of February 5th - 7th. Feel free to post about your character coming to visit, their outfits, and anything you may wish to add or write! The Redemption will land and launch every night, giving characters plenty of opportunities to join the fun.

Duci shows up for one of the opening nights, bright smile plastered on her face and more gold than necessary to blow. She's mostly there for the drinks, eats, sights and relaxation, so she doesn't mind losing all her money.

There was no way that the Lilith was going to pass up an opportunity like this and though it likely took some convincing to pull Andrea away from the garage, she was intent on having pretty arm candy too. Breaking a typical trend of black on black, she opted for a getup of rich red and glimmering gold. Likely to make her feel better about the silver she was going to lose at the blackjack table.

It had been a long time since Eden had seen herself a Sinjin Fai, but that didn't mean she wouldn't come out in support of the endeavor. She arrived on Friday night with a handsome date on her arm, in a floor length gown of red. And heels! Somehow, she managed not to trip or make an ass off herself all night.

She caught up to Sin at some point to give her heartfelt congratulations.

And you bet she ordered a few (or more) of the signature drink with her name on it.

Somehow, Saila managed to talk her long-suffering boyfriend into attending the grand opening party on the Redemption with her. Well, truth be told, he wasn't all that hard to convince. For one thing, she'd never been to a grand opening party, a casino, or a river boat before. For another, the girl who was perpetually dressed in shapeless black was actually willing to wear a dress.

The party was lovely, bringing a much needed smile to her face. There was plenty to do and see and try out, from the fancy signature drink to the actual gambling. Given the evening's theme, Saila naturally bet on red — she lost once and then won twice, and then she quit before she could lose again. Finding the so-called polar bear at a rare moment alone, she was sure to thank her host and congratulate him on the elegant space.

Having subjected the Irish wolf to more than enough public for one evening, the muse would take her leave when the boat docked, hand in hand and, for the first time all day, happy.

On one of his infrequent visits to the city, Vadriel chose to make a rare appearance in support of Sinjin's new venture.

Though other guests might have suffered the odd shiver in his company due to the inevitable chill palpable in his proximity, he was careful to spend the majority of his time on deck, enjoying the February air once he'd offered his congratulations to Sin. For those acquainted with his particular troubles, there might be surprise in the absence of incorporeal tricksters, and likewise for the lack of period clothes. The doctor did however prefer to make an impression.

He chose a double breasted topcoat in steel grey wool, trimmed in jet fur and exquisitely tailored. Beneath, a three piece suit with the chain of a pocketwatch glinting silver across a damask patterned waistcoat of indigo to match the woven silk of the pocket square and tie against his chest. The classic ensemble was finished off with an antique ebony walking cane topped in an engraved silver handle.

It wouldn't take long at all for Purple to get him to come. In all honesty, she just needed to expression interest and he was ready to go. She, on the other hand, took a while to find clothes. They found a lot of dresses but none she wanted to wear. He was patient and went from store to store in tow until she found the one.

She had hair and makeup all he did was use his body trimmer, pull back that hair, and took a shower. Boom and done. While she finished getting dressed he played Xbox, when she was busy finishing up putting on clothing he finally went to find a suit. "Honey you're dress is black, right?" Asked in that native tongue. She said yes, he reached in randomly and pulled one out.

Put it on, found a watch, then went to get the car ready while she admired her work. Once he pulled it around and got out of it to let her in, he slapped her bottom and told her she was beautiful then whisked the two of them away to the riverboat.

Fingers laced with hers as they stood near the edge of the boat railing looking over it. He nuzzled his lips onto the back of her neck then nipped her ear. "'av oi towl yer dat yer are beautiful yet?" Told her again, and would proceed to tell her a few more that night.

It took Lucy's housekeeper the whole week to convince her to go out. But by the time Friday rolled around, the redhead had a dress lined up and her accessories all picked out. After all, a good outfit is the best armor.

She came without an escort, gambled liberally but not excessively. Her ghost followed her at a distance (assuming the boat wasn't warded) although his outfit was fixed, stuck wearing that ladies' white scarf soaked in blood. If the boat was warded, he waited for her dockside, lingering with the other lost souls while Lucy enjoyed her life and the company of others.

Following right behind the beautiful green he had choose to come. Currently he was blowing up some balloon animals to form another cat still not getting it right. "Dang it." POP! Then tried again with another balloon.
