Running up to the actual Beltane events starting May 2nd, there will be a whole host of Beltane-related activities going on throughout the city.

" Hay rides Hayrides are being offered throughout town. Several farm wagons have been enlisted to drive people throughout the city and even into parts of the countryside. These rides originate in several of the main city squares.

" Fishing Groups of people have gathered at the several ponds and rivers surrounding RhyDin, especially near the southern glen, to spend the day fishing.

" Berry gathering Baskets are being sold throughout the market, perfect for wandering the woods of RhyDin and picking the first berries of the season.

" Garland making Several craftsmen and women are offering free garland making lessons at their booths in the marketplace in preparation for the weekend's activities. Flowers can be purchased from these vendors and then, with their help, crafted into beautiful garlands to be worn upon the head or gifted to a favorite lady.

" Maypole Several maypoles have been erected throughout the city, colored ribbons tied off at the top, for both young and old to enjoy in the old maypole tradition.

" Face/Body painting Many artists of the fae (and non-fae) have volunteered their time throughout the week to paint the faces and bodies of the citizens of the city; many people enjoy this especially for the lighting of the fire. Don't let them charge you too much!

" Brunch at the Inn (for those hung over) A lavish buffet brunch has been set up at the Red Dragon Inn on Saturday and Sunday morning for those who are feeling a bit sluggish after the previous night's festivities to enjoy.

" Picnic Many people are enjoying picnics in the southern glen throughout the week, one or two local restaurants having set up barbecues to cook food and sell it at moderate prices.

" Scavenger hunt Several local businesses have set up scavenger hunts throughout the city and are offering prize money to those who can find the most clues.

" Three-legged race One of the many activities enjoyed while people are out picnicking is three legged races!

" Flower gathering Spring has finally come and people are flocking to the woods and fields around RhyDin to gather her yield of colorful flowers, the variety of which are not found in many other places in the multiverse.

" Story telling Locals bards and storytellers have set themselves up around the marketplace, entertaining the masses with their tales from lands far away.

? Bake sale (in the market) Everyone is welcome to the local bake sale, where goods are being sold in support of a number of local charities including the orphanages set up throughout RhyDin.
