Summer is a great time for picnics and outdoor dining, and the Feast of Rhydin will be the place to get a tasty treat or two in the Marketplace throughout Midsummer Week.

Whether you're in the mood for a multi-course meal with all the trimmings, or a light salad and freshly-squeezed juice, or just a quick snack to tide you over until you get home....the many chefs, bakers, and other food vendors of Rhydin will be there to provide it!

From professional restaurateurs to citizens with favorite old family recipes, all are invited to set up a booth at the Feast to display and sell their culinary creations.

Note: no food item that involves sentient or sapient beings in its preparation will be allowed. All operating costs will be covered by the Governor's Office, including ingredients and hiring of extra help.

Not one to even try and compete with the amazing eateries that would be on display for the Feast, Incredible Edibles had decided to focus on what they did best - coffee.

The stall was set up with an array of coffees ready to brew, as well as various varieties of coffee bean - they were more than prepared to roast and brew to personal tastes. Add to that the available selection of syrups and other assorted accessories to the main event, not to mention the huge basket of pastries freshly baked and delivered from the cafe itself, and Edibles was set up to provide the caffeine - or de-caff - boost everyone was going to need at some point during the festival.

Egg rolls, eg grolls, and even MORE egg rolls! Pork, chicken, beef, vegetarian! So many eggrolls it could make your head spin! And that's not all! Sweet and sour chicken, pulled pork, and so much more.

Hoi Mei, bubbly and still totally pregnant, will be at the Jade Dragon booth for much of the day. She'll be the woman waving her finger at staff and visitors alike (if they decide to be sour instead of sweet!). She'd also be sporting a diamond engagement ring too. Fliers for the Summer All Ranks Tournament, were passed out with each paper plate of food!

The Matadero Meat Company is proud to present its 2nd Annual Hawaiian spit-style Pig Roast featuring your choice of suckling pig, gilt, and boar - all farm raised and humanely slaughtered. Come get a taste of free range pork and fresh cut summer fruit! Volunteers from the company's main facility, in addition to manning the pit and stall, will be wandering the city handing out flyers to advertise the contribution to the Feast. Stop on by the Matadero Carnicer"a, located on the corner neighboring the Teas"n Tomes!

Additionally, Matadero volunteer staff will be handing out FREE T-SHIRTS! Stop on by to get your choice of one of four fun designs.

Playing up to their location in Seaside, the Summer and the dishes that the Lost Pub's owner was born and raised on, they would be serving a pair of savory shrimp dishes as well as a few of the beers the Brewery offered.

The Taco Lime Grilled Shrimp was a spicy treat served on a stick, the perfect street food to hold in one hand as you roamed throughout the Marketplace and enjoyed the festival!

Barbecue Shrimp was a staple in his home growing up and James promised that it would be the best the customers had ever had outside of New Orleans. Chunks of French bread, along with wet naps were served with the shrimp still in their shells.

Along with the shrimp, the Lost Brewery was pouring four seasonal beers to pair perfectly with the food and the warm summer days.

El Hefe " Lost Brew's take on a traditional Hefeweizen, light and refreshing with strong notes of the expected banana and clove. ABV 5.5% Her Name was Shandy " A blend of lemonade and cloudy wheat beer. Perfect for the summer heat! ABV 4.2% Sunshine Saison - A peachy take on a classic Saison: dry, crisp, fruity, spicy and refreshing ABV 6.4% Henny Penny - Hoppy Saison with a crisp start to a subtle malt sweetness with notes of orange peel and ginger. ABV 7.4%

In addition, ever changing maps were handed out to those who passed by which would all try to lead those to the Lost Pub in Seaside of course!

Just beside the Lost Pub & Brewery's booth, Sassy Owl Saloon has set up shop with a streamlined version of their appetizer menu available for festival-goers to enjoy.

Chicken, vegetable and Behemoth steak skewers. Mini pizzas. Choose from pepperoni, cheese, or beef. Garlic cheese stuffed pretzel bombs. Mini garlic cheeseburger sliders.

For those seeking a refreshment, the booth's workers often deferred to the Brewery booth beside them with recommendations for the featured beers based on the food ordered. Or for those wanting a little kick (and a souvenir to match), single Sassy Owl Saloon shot glasses filled with whiskey were also offered. Mum on exactly what sort of whiskey was used, those that tried it were also asked for how they liked it afterwards. Consider it a bit of market testing.

From the cajun cook himself, Rene Gautreaux, with the assistance of Katt Batten, the Gator's Tail Bar & Grille will be adding its pots to the mix with not only cajun food but some fun on the side. At the booth the sound of a live zydeco will be played from the crack of dawn until the well into the night. There will be enough room for people to strap on their dancing shoes and shake the blues away.

Nicole's Bistro will have a booth and a food cart wandering about Marketplace.

The food cart will feature samples sizes of several varieties of our pizza, cups of linguine in Alfredo sauce, meat and cheese cubes on toothpicks, and our exclusive Baby Baron Chocolate Chip Cookies. Chilled soft drinks will also be available.

The booth will have: Soup, salad, and breadsticks bar with a variety of condiments. Plain cheese, pepperoni, Master of Meats, and Veggie Overload pizzas; others by request. Spaghetti with meatballs and veal Parmesan with a choice of Alfredo or Marinara sauce. Chicken Alfredo with angel hair pasta. Grilled lobster and shrimp braised in plain or garlic butter.

For dessert: Death by Chocolate Ala Colleen Baby Baron Chocolate Chip Cookies
