Starting today until it gets too damn cold, ORKTOBERFEST has taken over Warlady Buttercup's Farm in Battlefield Park! And on Saturday, September 29th at 9 ET, the festival will be holding a bonfire to celebrate the beginning of fall!
A working hay market has been converted into a massive, fortress-like hay maze, multiple beer and food tents, and a stage for traditional goblin polka acts like Green Danube and Bree-Yark and the Grovelers. There is a great candy corn-colored ferris wheel that lights up at night situated in the center of the market, visible from across the city walls.
There is a pumpkin patch with a contest overseen by Warlady Buttercup herself — losing jack o' lanterns get smashed by her morningstar — and an apple orchard where people can rent baskets for picking, or buy whole bushels from one of the Warlady's husbands.
And deep in the orchard, late at night, on a stage erected on a massive old tree trunk, bands congregate to play ODM — Orcish Death Metal, also known as "Oh Damn!" Famed ODM vocalist Fistmelda tends a makeshift bar of BadCider barrels, pouring fresh pints every night until the last barrel stands empty...
Orktoberfest is the harvest festival with something for everyone, so come on out to Battlefield Park, raise a pint and a pretzel, and celebrate autumn the orcish way today!
