Yasmin

Yasmin was very excited to be modeling a bold bridesmaid dress for the Fashion Show, especially since Miranda made the outfit she would be wearing, but she would be on her own for a look while she would be at her booth to promote her DJing services. She would have to go in her signature light blue skin and white hair, since she'd be selling her DJ Zazzy Yas persona. Of course she always loved to wear white since it showed off her wild skin, but she dare not wear white to a bridal expo for crying out loud.

Yas choose a purple swing dress that went to her knees. Though she debated this one opportunity to wear a tiara, she instead wore a silver and cream colored floral headband. In order to go for a more elegant look, since she was there on professional business after all, she chose silver pumps and silver colored jewelry. A couple of heart rings, a bracelet that mimicked the roman numerals of a clock to subtly brainwash any potential customers that she would be punctual, and a simple silver necklace with only the letter "M". Considering that she would be spending any free time over at the TRASH booth while Michi was there, she didn't think it'd be that hard to connect the dots. But if anyone asked, the denying Diva would simply answer, "It stands for the most important person in my life" Me.?

Michi

Michi seemed to have her hands full during the expo. Pimping out the band to as many people as possible, cracking jokes about impending nuptials between fellow bandmade Addie and her new boytoy Ro, and skirting on her duties only briefly to take smoke breaks. Michi took her job seriously as band promoter, but she would be able to cut back some thanks to the fact that the DJ Zazzy Yas was stationed next to her. Her outfit of choice was one to try and appear punky while at the same time keeping with a more dressy feel. While feeling a little hot in the jacket, she didn't remove it; all so she could keep up her `image`. Maybe it's a good thing she kept it on, because that M♥Y bracelet of hers wouldn't get spotted anytime soon. Well, maybe, she did unzip the sleeves so who knows.

She'd be sure to drag Yas around the showcase floor when she got the free chance. Incredible Edibles' cakes (don't tell Addie) and sparkly jewelry from Renegade Regalia aren't things to miss!

Hex

Date: 2016-07-22 22:26 EST
http://madeira.hccanet.org/project2/thomasp2/mshadowsbio.jpg

The modern day Greaser showed up on his 2005 Harley Davidson Dyna Super Wide Glide motorcycle, dressed in his usual attire though he at least tossed aside the jeans for a pair of pin-stripe dress pants. The shirt was of his usual "classy" attire, a makeshift tank top with a Guns 'N Roses logo plastered on the front. Aviators and slicked back hair to boot, and there you have Hex.

Why would Hex show up to something like this" It was out of character for him, definitely. Especially after his past, anything "wedding" related was off-putting for him. But those feelings he shoved aside to provide moral support and a familiar face in the audience for his ol' lady's volunteer modeling.

Sitting in the audience, the rough-around-the-edges biker looked out of place at the fashion show and it wasn't hard for his woman to spot him. And she was impossible to miss in that gown. Though hidden by the shade of his aviators, brows rose and he was unable to look away as she strut her stuff, and those feelings of discomfort from his surroundings evaporated as she flashed that soft smile and he returned with a smile of his own. An approving nod of appreciation to the gorgeous vixen in that gown, even if it was a wedding gown.

The rest of the show went by in a haze, his purpose for being there done as the one he'd shown up for had finished her turn.

Though his purpose there was done, it didn't stop him from hanging around until the show was over to possibly meet up with his woman after, giving his praise and compliments. A wash of, "You looked gorgeous up there," whispered to her ear with his boyishly dimpled smile. Regardless of the theme of the expo, he could still appreciate the sight of beauty when it was presented to him!

Surely enough, he expected to be dragged off for some form of socialization, something he'd grown accustomed to being introduced to his purple haired woman's friends. The anti-social incubus was warming up to it! He was introduced to the itty bitty stylist named Grace, made pleasant small talk.

As with most of RhyDin's community parties and events, Hex followed the social butterfly like a big bodyguard, behaving himself as he met and talked to her friends, namely Sabine, whom Saila wanted to stop by and say hello to. As well as Renegade Regalia because they had sparkly things, and he knew his woman liked all things shiny! The theme wasn't his thing, but it felt good to get out of the house and do some socializing.

When all was said and done, introductions and socializing out of the way, when it came to leaving and deciding the rest of their plans for the evening, the two would end up making their way out with Hex on his bike, Saila following him in her Chevy Nova.

Marcus Spencer

Marcus was attending the Wedding Faire for one reason and one reason only - Kiri Calderon.

They'd done their best to keep their "relationship" private, insisting they were only friends, albeit close ones, mostly for her sake. His wasn't the one whose face appeared almost daily on television sets all across Rhy'Din; hers was. Oh, he made a guest appearance now and then in a recurring role, but Horizons was really her claim to fame, not his.

If anyone recognized him at all, it was usually for his place behind the bar at the Shanachie Theater, where he was mostly famous for serving drinks, though he had bigger dreams. Come September, he planned on auditioning for the theater, but that was a few months away yet, and it had very little to do with his attendance at the Wedding Faire.

No, he was only here because of Kiri. After all, he was her biggest fan. He planned on being there when she walked down the runway during the Fashion Show. He'd be the one in the back applauding the loudest, not so much for whatever designer gown she was wearing, but for the woman herself - the loveliest in all of Rhy'Din, or so he believed.

But first, while she was busy getting ready, having her hair done and all those finishing touches put in place, he was busy visiting Renegade Regalia in hopes of finding just the right piece of jewelry to take their so-called "relationship" to the next level.

The Redneck

Date: 2016-07-23 13:13 EST
After diving into the mad rush back stage, and out of it again, the redneck wandered the Expo. From booth to booth to exhibit to exhibit she wandered with a roving eye and ready smile.

A wedding, a binding of that sort, wasn't in her future, though that didn't, wouldn't stop her from enjoying what there was to see and experience. Plus there was really no telling when inspiration would strike.

She stopped here and there to exchange words and ideas with people she knew, and some she didn't. Offered a bit of advice here, a suggestion there before continuing on her way again. Familiar faces were greeted with her usual nods and smiles and cheeky winks and sudden grins.

Her first afternoon off, and Bridget found herself back in Rhy'Din City, left to her own devices while Sam tended to a few errands of his own. Naturally, she gravitated toward the Observatory and the Wedding Faire going on there.

And there was so much to see. From beautiful jewelry that sparkled in the light at booths with names like Treasures of the Sea, Spirit Crystals, and Renegade Regalia to the gorgeous display of flowers by someone named Matilda; from savory and sweet treats temptingly offered by Incredible Edibles, Garden of Thorns, Nicole's Bistro, The Sassy Owl, and Sweet Cheeks to demonstrations of making yourself beautiful by Baroness Beauty and Hair or Dye Studios.

And beyond that, even more to see. The works of art to be worn shown off by Weddings by Miranda and Keeping You In Stitches captivated her for a long time, holding her attention from a distance as she nibbled on the free samples offered by the food and drink vendors. Though she was already married, and would never envision herself in anything so utterly enthralling, it was a pleasant dream. And even that was not the end of it all. There was photography, and glassworks; music and dances. Everything under one roof to create the most fabulous wedding day you could possibly imagine ....and beyond anything Bridget herself could imagine.

Yet she found herself drawn most to one quiet little booth, where a woman of around her age was showing off her embroidery. The skill was familiar to her, almost comforting amid the stunning array of beauty all around, and Bridget found herself falling easily into conversation with the lady there. Jessamin Taylor was also a woman out of time, from a time very close to Bridget's own, and perhaps she could be a friend, too.

Suffice it to say, there was plenty to talk about on the journey back to Oakham Mount when Sam eventually found her again.

Emrys

Date: 2016-07-24 17:57 EST
It took a lot to distract Marissa, but somehow Emrys had managed it.

She didn't often allow herself to get girly, but the Wedding Faire held a natural appeal. They were mated, but had not yet done anything to make that seem official in the eyes of the city and society at large. That, and her family had a couple of booths at the Faire, Nicole's Bistro and Treasures of the Sea. It hadn't been too difficult to convince said relatives to keep Marissa busy for a little while. He had something to do.

A quick stop at Spirit Crystals had only served to confuse the vendors working that booth, which meant the majority of his time was spent picking the brains of the ladies at Renegade Regalia. He wanted a ring, but not just any ring - it had to be enchanted, it had to be able to withstand the shift of form between human and tiger, and it had to be beautiful. It was a lot to ask, and he didn't have a huge amount of gold to play with. But Marissa was worth any price they cared to name.

He might not find what he was after that day, but he definitely returned to Marissa with a better idea of where he could find it.

"Oh my god, I think I just died and went to heaven ..."

Seren looked up from her investigation of the cupcakes on offer at Sweet Cheeks On Demand, to find Delilah all but drooling over all the options on offer over at DJ Zazzy Yas' booth. With a wink to the girls manning the duel booth, she slipped over to her friend, looking curiously over her shoulder.

"We could have a magic carpet," Delilah was enthusing, "or a Taj Mahal. She could so make herself look like the Genie from Aladdin, couldn't she?"

Biting her lips, Seren grinned. "Change of skin color, 'lilah," she pointed out. "You can't ask anyone to completely change the way they look just for one evening to indulge your Disney fantasies. Does Kit know you want to go all Arabian Nights on him yet?"

"Not yet, it's a surprise," Delilah announced, pocketing the brochure from the DJ's booth as they moved away into the faire. "Aren't you supposed to be working today?"

"After the lunch," Seren told her, pausing to admire the embroidery on display at Jessamin Taylor's little booth. "I promised to take a few pictures for the fashion show, but I'm free 'til then. Isn't this lovely?"

"I thought we were on a budget?" Delilah teased her, grunting a little as the redhead poked her in the stomach.

"How much of the Brambles did you drink?" Seren challenged her, but the answer was predictable.

"Not as much as you drank at the Sassy Owl." Delilah flicked her curls over her shoulder, looping her arm through Seren's. "Come on, we're here for ideas. The boys are jewelry-hunting, so I think we should go and look at the dresses."

"Weddings by Miranda and Keeping You In Stitches," Seren said promptly, scanning her copy of the faire layout. "So if we're ....here ....we need to go ....that way."

"Lead on, Macduff!"

Grace felt like she hadn't slept in days. It was good that Mark's trip to see Aunt Rally had lined up so perfectly with her participation in this wedding expo thing, because frankly the tiny stylist didn't have time to be sad about it. She missed the Gypsy King something awful, of course, but between the prep work for the booth, the consultations with the designers and some of the models in advance and the usual never ending stream of appointments, Grace was up to her neck in things to keep her busy.

Sunday morning dawned bright and early. She rushed to get ready, carrying nicer clothes with her for the afternoon as she scrambled out the door to meet the models for the Fashion Show. Doing hair for some twenty-plus people —some of which were small children — was a monumental undertaking, and the tiny dancer was a positive whirlwind of movement as she tripped from model to model with quick, practically dazzling efficiency.

She was wildly happy with the results.

Though she really should have taken advantage of the brief respite that it afforded, sitting down for the first time all day, Grace found herself just offstage, watching the Fashion Show anyway. There was a huge and happy grin on her face. Everybody looked amazing, everyone's hair was perfect, nobody fell or stumbled or anything. Impressed with basically everything — the models" poise, even the little ones, the elegant outfits, the way her own work was showcased on each individual — Grace was feeling exhausted but also exhilarated.

It gave her the extra boost she needed to get changed into something nicer, clean up the mess she'd made of her styling equipment, and dash over to the Vendor Hall to take her place at the Hair or Dye Booth.

Grace was pleased to see that the other stylists had been handling the booth well in her absence, and she quickly fit herself into the swim of things. Doing on the spot consultations for the brides-to-be who stopped by, the girl was thrilled each time someone complimented her work on the Fashion Show.

Several people, she was excited to see, were taking advantage of the promotion they'd been running in the shop all month, snapping selfies of themselves at the booth to earn 10% off their next services. In the middle of a small crowd that had assembled at four on the dot, Grace did her live demonstration of an elaborately braided style on a willing model, weaving small peach rosettes into the heavy braids as she went.

As things began to wind down, Grace was just thinking about finally sitting down when Saila came by, introducing her new(ish) boyfriend Hex. Enthusiastic exchanges occurred between the two women for how well each of them had done, and Grace determined that somebody needed to take a picture of she and Hex together for sheer comedic value, a feat that was in accomplished only after the diminutive darling had climbed up on a chair.

Well and truly tapped out, the little gypsy really was sitting down when a familiar — and startlingly out of place — face rounded a corner, approaching the booth. Mark had that little smile on his face, the one he wore when he was excited about something and just a little bit nervous, like he wondered if his surprise would be well received.

He'd come home just to see her show, it turned out. He knew how much work she'd been putting into it and wanted to be there for her even though he had a thousand other obligations and it wasn't exactly his thing. Grace was so shocked that she was initially speechless, and a moment later she pretty much burst into tears.

Whatever happened after that was a complete blur.

Brynne Granger

Date: 2016-07-26 16:38 EST
It had seemed like such a good idea at the time.

Ed and Lis hadn't had a day to themselves since bringing Zahan home, and Brynne had offered to take her own daughter's best friend for the day to let her brother and his wife reset for the summer. Now she was holding a handful of off-cuts from bouquets in one hand, a small bag of cake samples in the other, and was watching Lila and Zahan mimicking the dancers at the De Luca Dance stand performing a rather complex waltz.

Still, the girls were enjoying themselves. Grabby hands took a lot of watching, especially at Renegade Regalia, Spirit Crystals, and Treasures of the Sea, but she'd managed to keep on top of that. The hobbit at Incredible Edibles had held their attention for almost a full ten minutes before they'd veered off to investigate Garden of Thorns and Nicole's Bistro, cramming the offered free samples into the little plastic bag they'd swiped from The Sassy Owl. Thankfully she'd been able to prevent any cider tasting at The Brambles, grateful that the proprietress seemed to know about little hands and was well aware that the girls wouldn't notice that their tasters had been switched for straight juices.

The sojourn at Kaiser Glassworks had nearly given her a heart attack. Two eleven-year-olds leaning far too close to terrifyingly fragile works of art was enough to worry any parent, but when they started pointing out specific pieces to each other, Brynne was filled with dread at the idea that she might have to buy everything on display if one sleeve caught just one piece. The actual dress-making side of things seemed to be less of a draw than she had anticipated, though Keeping You In Stitches, Weddings by Miranda, and even Jessamin Taylor had held the promise of princess dreams for a little while.

Cakes and music, that seemed to be the big draw for Lila and Zahan, and they were certainly making the most of it, foregoing the chance to have their picture taken in by Lowell Photography favor of boogieing with DJ Yas and The Bluejays while eating cupcakes nabbed from Sweet Cheeks. Then on to Hair or Dye, where a spirited argument with her about dying their hair bright pink had been brought to an end by the timely intervention of the couple at De Luca Dance.

Now all that was left was free lunch by The Lost Pub &Brewery, and the Fashion Show. Ed and Lis had better appreciate this.

A wedding fair and expo, months before the presumed date. More proof that everything was as it was meant to be!

Rand was not a wedding planner, to be sure. Good food, pretty things, good people, good music, and Valentina. That's what it needed. Of course, it never hurt to check out options.

There were a lot of pretty things on display and a ton of food for him to sample as they moved from booth to booth. It was inevitable he would sign up for some tastings, as well as buy a few trinkets and jewelry, and some fabric and lace.

After all, spoiling the most beautiful woman in the world was his favorite thing to do.

It was a good thing Dorian had Kit with him or he'd have been completely lost looking at rings. He had no idea what he was supposed to be looking for or what Seren might like, and between Renegade Regalia, Treasures of the Sea, and Spirit Crystals, there were just too many tempting and sparkly items to choose from.

Thankfully, the people manning the booths were helpful, as was Kit, but it wasn't until something at the Spirit Crystals booth caught his eye that he knew he'd found what he'd been looking for. The only problem was paying for it, but when the woman behind the counter suggested a monthly payment plan that fit his paycheck and budget, there was no longer a reason to hold off any longer.

Now, he just had to figure out how he wanted to give it to her.

Rufus Bennett

He was only here to support his wife, Rufus insisted.

He wasn't enjoying the free samples being handed out. He wasn't enjoying the eclectic music on display. He wasn't enjoying stopping to talk with the vendors and learn a little bit more about the city in which he lived. He certainly wasn't enjoying watching Ro toddling about on the little dancefloor, narrowly missing dropping both professionals on their backsides with her wild flailing.

He definitely didn't enjoy his visit backstage with Ro, to watch Miranda and her team turn a group of reasonably ordinary-looking people into stunners - although, given Rhy'Din's amazing ability to attract and produce only the most beautiful faces ever seen, it was hardly a tough challenge. He absolutely was not enjoying seeing his wife in her element, frazzled, frustrated, and obviously loving every minute of it.

At least, that's what he was going to tell Miranda. The big grin, however ....that spoke otherwise.

Layla Wasem

https://65.media.tumblr.com/0b51213d08443256f7956c0532b4f5ab/tumblr_ob1lpf0pYd1vavmj8o1_540.jpg

Though it was both much too early and much too late to be contemplating any kind of wedding bells, Layla arrived at the Wedding Fair and Expo alone. Her curiosity was two-fold: on a professional level, she had come to see the artistry on display, to meet her fellow artisans, to see where or how her own little business might fit in at some point. And on a personal level, she was very interested in learning what the wedding customs and traditions even were here in her newly claimed home town.

Layla was taken aback, at first, by the sheer magnitude of the show. There was so much to do and see and taste and experience that the poor thing very nearly got herself overwhelmed.

Stopping to watch Jessamin Taylor for a time, Layla marveled at the intricacy of the delicate beading, a warm smile on her face. So too the live demonstration at Hair or Dye caught her eye, and Layla studied the book of portraits wistfully, imagining what it might be like to have her own dark tresses done so elaborately.

Between Incredible Edibles, Sweet Cheeks, Nicole's and Garden of Thorns, there were so many samples to try that the artist barely had room for the lunch catered by Lost Pub and Brewery, but she managed to taste a little bit of everything anyway.

From there it was off to see the sparkly things, poring over the gorgeous offerings on display for Treasures of the Sea, Spirit Crystals and Renegade Regalia. The last one in particular had captivated her imagination with its elegant crowns and tiaras, and those positively stunning shoulder pieces, and she spent a long time admiring each high quality piece, and maybe daydreaming just a little.

Stopping to listen to each of the musicians in turn, Layla perhaps lingered longest at the DeLuca Dance Studios area, watching rapt as the couples' instructors moved together in fluid, effortless harmony. Here, too, her smile turned nostalgic and perhaps just a little sad, and her attention was only dragged away by the commencement of the Fashion Show.

Finding a seat towards the back, Layla was delighted and intrigued by the varying styles of wedding dresses. It was educational, and frankly fascinating, to hear the announcer describe each dress or suit, to learn which were considered more traditional and which were more non-conventional. The black dress in particular snagged her attention, and the girl made a mental note to go look up what 'gothic' meant when she got home.

Happy, tired and at least a little overstimulated, she retreated as silently as she'd come, her mind full to brimming of ideas and inspiration. Despite her fatigue, the artist practically ran home, eager to get to her sketchbook.

There was so much to see, and Val's keen eye took note of what seemed fashionable for weddings and brides in this often strange place she called home these days. Rand, of course, made certain to stop by every booth with jewelry and finery on display - he never thought she had enough! She argued a little, but making him happy was her favorite activity...and she couldn't resist letting him indulge. As far as she was concerned, all she needed was him - the party, the jewelry, even the ceremony was simply formalizing the commitment they had made.

But the delectable treats couldn't help but draw her attention, and she had to be subtly nudged away from talking shop with food vendors, taking note of all the dishes that met with his particular favor. No appointments, yet, for consultations...but she made certain she had contact information for the ones she thought might be worth discussing with Rand later...

Wedding Expo' Not where you would find Quinn in a thousand years, and yet there he was. There was something about this one though, something that said he had to be there, because really how many times was he going to see Saila dressed this way' So into the expo he went, and even in a decent outfit. Seemingly Quinn had really made an effort to not seem too jaded, as he was seen conversing with vendors and even taking a few business cards. Hey, he was someone's dad, paying for a wedding wasn't completely out of the picture. Mind you all this was laced in with tips of his flask, because really, sober wasn't how he was going to get through this.

Quinn wandered around until he found Grace and was almost embarrassed by his crazy stubble covered face, but she knew what was going on and what they had all been through, he hoped she'd give him a pass. Wandering for long enough, he waited for the fashion portion of the expo to begin because really that's what he was here for. To see his kid strut the catwalk.

This modeling experience was turning out far better than the last.

For one thing, she wasn't feeling like she would spontaneously combust and/or completely dissolve at any given moment. For another, she didn't have to go first this time. And then, there was nobody in the audience she was dreading having to see. As a matter of fact, there were at least two people out there whose presence made her grin at least a little to herself.

Saila could practically see Hex and Quinn, sitting far enough apart that they wouldn't necessarily see each other, but considerably closer than either of them probably realized.

The Fashion Show went really well. Exchanging thumbs-up and good luck glances with the people she knew and even a few that she didn't, Saila was pretty sure she'd rocked it this time. Stoked, too, to see that she was pretty much the only person selected to wear black, and it even had sleeves! She still had to use the pendant, but even so. She felt like an evil queen out of some twisted fairy tale, and it carried her through not having to think too hard about the whole wedding thing.

When the show was over, the purple haired teen changed out of her lacy wedding dress into something a little more movable, and since the charm was already in place she didn't bother to cover her arms. Saila found Quinn first, giving the White Wolf a big hug and even smooching him on the cheek for coming to support her. Especially considering everything going on. He was doing a good job of maintaining well, but Saila could tell that the setting had him on edge, so she kissed him on the cheek again and sent him on his way.

Good thing, too. She spotted Hex not five minutes later.

An amused grin painted pale features still done up in Fashion Show glitter. "...I can't believe you actually came," she said with a smirk that maybe covered how touched she was, though the subsequent hug did little to hide it. Mindful of the utter girliness of it all, Saila tried to keep her time in the Vendor Area short, but there were still a few things and people she wanted to see.

First up was Grace of Hair or Dye, mostly to thank the girl again for the excellent job she'd done on everyone's hair, and to introduce her to the big guy beside her. Grace was officially the first of the Caravan folk to meet him, a fact Saila hadn't really thought about until it was done. She snapped a selfie at the booth so she could get her discount later while Hex and Grace were trying to figure out how to fit both of them into a picture together. Apparently it ultimately involved a chair.

Then it was around to Baroness Beauty to say hello to Sabine. Oh, poor Hex. First the hair place and then make up! Still, Saila couldn't not support her friend, and of course peruse the new line of colors while she was there. Hey, just because the girl only ever wears black doesn't mean she doesn't also love color!

Last stop was Renegade Regalia to see all the pretty sparklies. The booth definitely did not disappoint, and her strange eyes were more or less glued to the stunning shoulder pieces on display there. She spent some time ogling all the other pretty shinies, too, a little grin on her face.

Keeping the trip short and sweet, there were a lot of booths she missed but the crowd was getting thick and there were other things to do, so it didn't take much convincing to have her headed out the door with Hex, splitting from his side only to retrieve her car so she could follow the bike out of the parking lot.

Trading turns for manning the booths for Trash and Addie's baking business, on the rare moments when the young banshee was left alone at the tables; she was staring blankly at customers who wandered up with questions. It was better than giving them a creepy smile, but thankfully any potential clients chalked it up to awkward drummer girl. Plus she would hand them samples of cupcakes or cookies, along with a business card or two until they either walked away or Addie or Michi came wandering back to take over. Client relations were not Misery's strong suit.

She wasn't planning a wedding any time soon, and she laughed at any suggestion of the sort as well as spouting off, "I'm only fifteen man!"

Misery was however, aware that a sweet sixteen bash was in the works for her birthday later this year, so a few booths were zeroed in on to check out in preparation of that. Her adventures in particular took her to Renegade Regalia, Baroness Beauty and Hair or Dye Studios.

The hair salon was first up where she flipped through the portfolio at the center of the booth and snagged a few extra coffin stickers because hey " Coffin. She fit right in. When asked if she was looking for something in particular, Misery could only shrug and tug on one of her two jet black braids. "Something cool" My BFFs have cool colorful hair, but my hair is all black and boring." A childish complaint, but she was a teenager. Mentioning the pending party in October, she went off with a business card in hand and a promise that she'd get her mother to come by with her sometime. They worked evenings, right'

Next up was Baroness Beauty to see if they could find a solution to her running cat eye problem. Super extra waterproofing was needed!!! The candy was pretty good too, who ever heard of candy and chocolate being good for you? She asked if they had vitamin D in them, because she was deficient.

Last up was Renegade Regalia, where the owner Una Vogue must have seen Misery over at the Baroness Beauty booth because the woman wouldn't let her touch anything.

"What is ?" "Don't touch that." "What about ?" "Don't touch that." "How about ?" "Don't touch anything.?

Misery sulked until she was given the small plum and navy gift box and promptly shooed away by Una.

Her hands weren't even that dirty!

Ray Kowalski

This is not the kind of thing that Ray Kowalski usually finds himself at (unless it's for work, and he's infiltrated stranger gatherings in the past in the name of truth, justice, and all that jazz), but he decides he may as well check out the attractions while he's here - or some of them, anyway, because some are just too wedding focused for his comfort level, especially given a recent conversation he'd had with his girlfriend's father figure.

He spends a little time at the De Luca Dance Studio booth to watch the demo, and if Charlie was with him instead of getting ready for the catwalk, it's likely he would've taken her by the hand and dragged her out onto the makeshift dance floor, unable to stop himself. As it is, though, he just hangs out for a few minutes before being distracted away by Brambles Orchard. Alcohol certainly makes a thing like this more enjoyable, so he takes advantage of the tasting opportunities and might buy a bottle or three of cider to take home.

Renegade Regalia is his last stop, mostly because he's somewhat familiar with the name due to Charlie's mention of them as being responsible for a particular bottle that lives in his medicine cabinet (and several other bottles he's caught glimpses of) - and it's here when he starts to get a little anxious, when he sees the beautiful pieces on display, because they would pair so nicely with a wedding gown—

Ray really should've been paying more attention when Charlie had told him (in passing, to be fair) that she was modeling in a Wedding Expo - or really, he should've put two and two together if he'd thought about it for any length of time and realized that it was likely she'd be wearing a wedding dress. He figures it'll be no big deal, that the dress is probably something that won't quite fit her personality, that it'll only make him think about it less, but oh—

The dress fits perfectly, his girl is too beautiful, fey little smile at the end enough to make his heart skip a beat - but don't even think about it, Kowalski. He absolutely insists that they leave right away once he's got Charlie by the hand after she's changed back into her street clothes after the show has concluded - otherwise she'll be late for work, and isn't she hungry anyway, and doesn't she maybe want to check out that new Greek place by the apartment, maybe they have time before her shift starts, and hey, did she catch any of the game last night, and oh, what is she doing next weekend since this one is over anyway, and—

Lucky for Ray, Charlie Darling is excellent at following his lead, and she doesn't breathe a word about weddings to him - but he wonders (though won't ask) if she kept the dress.

Lisa dragged Nayun along to the wedding expo as part of their date, and the Trickster lived up to her name by not denying any inquiries about wedding plans in the future. "Well, I liked it so I put a ring on it," all teeth showing in her wolfish smile.

Wandering around to the various booths, catcalling during the fashion show (that Asher Price fellow she could eat up), picking up the free swag and tasting free samples, it was a different way to show up and support the local businesses in town.

And as they'd been to the opening of Renegade Regalia, she was sure to stop by their booth before leaving the expo, just to see what new shinning gold items they might have on hand. Her own hand was often fondly clutching or tugging on the bear claw necklace that had been given to her, worth more sentimentally than any of the shoulder pieces or tiaras on display in the booth.
