...a series of leather masks. While in a myriad of shapes that ranged between leaves and various faces found in the wild or on the farm, all of them, expertly crafted as they were, were quite devoid of depth and character. Taking one to hand, however, would bring their smooth leather surfaces to life with a series of cleverly tooled patterns and features; it was almost as if each mask were a blank slate simply waiting for the influence of a soul to color it. __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________
For Lilliana, there was no other recourse than to take what comforts and lovely colors she could from her expansive wardrobe. Skirts, shawls, scarves, and shinies aplenty, the buxom beaut had just the bits and baubles to pull together in time. Practicality played a small part; there was temperature to consider, surely, but she required enough freedom in the frocks she chose for dancing. Aside from that, inspiration came from the season, of course, but the true reasoning for her colors she took from way the sunset's light struck the intricate little patterns in the under-bust corset she'd only just finished. A crown of flowers here, a stitch to a pulled thread there, and she was all but ready!

When it came time to take up a mask, well, let's just say the gypsy chose the simpler route and opted for a leaf. No sense in seeing what sort of creature she'd turn into, should she have picked up and animal mask! Magic did as it was wont to do, which unfortunately, sometimes, was to confuse as much as it cleared up. Please with the shade of red her oak leaf took, she gave her cheeks a healthy pinch.
