We would like to try something different for this masque. As we have the wonderful "Create Additional Accounts" tool, we are requesting that people create a new username to be used specifically for the masque; for example, if Jewell is going to be going as a mermaid, I will create a username like "M. Mermaid". If Issy is going as a peacock, she could create a username that says "M. Peacock". The name can also be as simple as "M. Blue Dress" or "M. Silver Suit." Adding the "M' should help identify the username as being for the masquerade.
In the past, we (as the players) had to have our characters not know who was behind that Zoro mask even though we could clearly see which character it was. Creating a new username for the occasion should (hopefully!) add a new element of fun to the event. It makes it a true guessing game to figure out who-is-who like at the old-fashioned masquerades.
The username idea is in no way a requirement. What is a requirement is that this will be a violence-free event. We promise that the Bhaalites and other enemies of the Scathachian Order will have their due revenge for this charitable event.
Also not a requirement: Your character is not absolutely required to wear a mask. No one will be enforcing this OOC, but it would be more fun if everyone played along even if for a little while.
