Starting on the morning of the 24th and lasting until New Years Eve one might run into a delightful holiday Imp. Er. Elf. Yes, let's call them elves. Ahem.
These delightful little scamps are running all around the city hanging up sprigs of mistletoe (which will only come unstuck on the 31st), and handing out bags of goodies which will contain some of the following:
Individually wrapped chocolates and candy canes
A small bag of "Instant Snow". It looks like paper confetti, but when thrown turns into light fluffy snow. Enough for 3-4 tosses or to make one softball sized snowball.
A small snow globe that when shook will show one Happy Memory (keyed to the person holding it)
The elves are fast little devils who will scamper off once they have doled out their gifts. But anyone trying to mess with them might find themselves turned into a snowman for ten minutes!
