Chapter: Arrival Section I

Entering the atmosphere, the Ner'Uda (Simple Shuttle, built large enough for only one hunter.), was exceptionally quiet and fast. It passed over Rhy'din, with little to no suspicion. It took only a matter of seconds, to deploy a drop pod. Then it was back and off to lay, in wait above the planet.

The pod, with three breaking jets, and three parts that seemed like metal parachutes. Activated, and began to slow him. Of course the Ner'Uda was off target, but still he would manage. The deploy pod, slamed into the water, embedding itself about 12 inches into the mud of a shallow point of a lake.

On the inside, he could view very little. Raising a clawed hand, up to a pad along the side to his right. Tapping, on the screen a little, the sliding the claw down the side. The door, opened sliding up, with a quick motion.

Stepping out, his foot went into the water to about his knee, the mud softening his step. Getting completely out now, and moving along caustiously. He was new, and untested, to his race he was Unblooded. And this...This was his first hunt. He had been trained, and now was being put to the test. To prove his worth. Continuing along, the water moving along and drudging along as he moved.

Stepping out of the water and onto dry land...Cold, this whole world was cold. Not the best time for a hunt, but It was his own decision to come now. The thermal, of his helmet allowed him to see all the heat signatures of the wild life of the area.

Nothing, as of yet...Nothing yet to truely challenge himself.

Taking Its first steps, onto the shore. The hunter, headed into the nearby surrounding of forrestry. From the looks of the area it was much like a glen. His first objective was to ascertain anything of worth. So he headed for the trees.

Up, he climbed. He moved through thetrees, with little touble. Eventually, he came upon what seemed to be a path. It was, a beaten path, of dirt and lined in the grass. It seemed as though, it was often used. The wind, had not yet, blown the dirt clean of foot print.

He was high in the tree, after all. His shift suit was wet, and would function properly till it was dried. Crouching, low on teh thick branch he was on. Almost perfectly blended to the tree's color. Raising up the gauntlet that had many of the controls to the extra function of his armor. Flicking open, what seemed would be a piece of metal, used to protect the blackened screens. Tapping on the gauntlet, his vision, shifted once more. This time, it was in low-light. Allowing trace amounts of moonlight to brighten up the whole area for him to see clearly. Flicking it again, allowed him to shift back to the thermal.

Taping on it once, more a holographic image of the nearby town, rendered in 3-D. Popped it, he studied it for a while, before deciding to continue on. Letting the image fade, he closed the open gauntlet. Stood up, and headed for the nearest building.

The sun, was just peaking over to horizon as, the hunter scaled the nearest building. Heading over to the, edge Crouching on it. And staring down into teh many, criss-crossing back alleys.

It must have taken 30 minutes or so, back once the sun had come up. He took the time to relish in what little heat came from it. And like wise, the streets, on the opposing side of the building began to crowd. Not needing to see it for himself, plainly put he could hear them moving out and around. Scurring about like rat, putting up tents. A few, of them already hacking their wares at any passer by.

Rasing the gauntlet back up, he activated the Shift suit. He vanished in patches, and hoped off of the building. Landing on a beam placed in between, the builindg, to help the towns fold hang clothes out to dry. He would be content to listen to what was being said around, after all, though these were the back alleys, tehy're were plenty of theives, robbers, and murderers, that were conversating about. Spotting, three men posted at a corner. Having a conversation to themselves. He listened in, and waited to see if he could learn anything.

"Did you hear what happen to that fisherman?" Spoken softly, but clearly audible to the hunter. Like wise it would be with his friends.

"You talking about that one, that got himself strangled to death. Or the one that found his friends body?"

"The one that got strangled, you nit wit. Yeah, sorry for his friend though. But anyway, I wanna know exactly what that thing was that strangled him."

"You mean the thing, in the poster."

"Yeah that thing." He would motion his head, to his friend to look behind him at the poster. And the hunter followed, Zooming in on the picture, and getting a good look.

Instanteously, he knew what it was. He had seen, the older members of his clan. Place these creature into sedation. And he had viewed records of what they would become once they got past that stage.

Raising to his feet, and jumping up and over the edge of the opposing building he was on before. Moving over the top of the buildings, and leaping inbetween them, to see if there was any more information about, the Kainde Amedha.

This would be two things for him now, his First Hunt, and First Bug-Hunt.

Section III

The creature had found its home easily enough within the sewers. And thusly it also found its meals above ground, in the dark alley way of the town. Making them out of any unfortunate victim it could trap.

It was the only one here of its kind, a very unfortunate thing. Yet he had been planing and awaiting the moment to move his queens egg. It was a gruling task changing most of the sewers into a adequate enough nest. But it had managed.

The walls now found themselves covered in in a thic, what wopuld some call a slime. But it was also a boon to him, For it was dampening the tempature, and it would be easily able to camoflouge itself to teh wall, cieling and even the floor.

Yes, the Hive was completed. Now all he needed to do was to transport the queen. Then bring a host...All was going according to his plan.
