The spit came tinny against the bin lid as she passed with a squire smile, brows tilted askew at the clubs she moved from. The neon was licking the sidewalk and the moon was rival for heels and toes. She trod careful on, stomping all over dried gum and dead bugs. She just didn't care how grotty her costume of forvever was, leathers scarred and torn as her frayed little mind.

Galavanting with her lot she sure did miss the days when time was sweet and she could miss her brood as suddenly as the wind turned. A changeable rat. A driftin' floozy of a lover. She never missed a beat, but never knew one bed. Bad habits were hard to break. Not to say that mattress was always shared. She just never knew one roof.

"Fuckin pooh, I'm jealous", shouted a ragtag band of kids running past, a little past their bed times, she shouted without a smile, kicking her turf's dirt with a side step and a stand still by a pipe flanking a building and seeping slime along the curb. She lit up and looked out, at this the town, and her it's anti-heroine...
