Early morning. Monday, January 3rd.
Ahni traipsed through the Marketplace, unusually bright-eyed and chipper at such an early hour. The woman was on a mission: find new boots, and fast! Her old ones had been chewed by something or another....She absently clanged her thick metal bracelets together as she wandered from shop window to shop window in search of a nice sturdy pair of boots.
On her third or fourth round of the Marketplace, a commotion caught her attention. Following it led her to a very large bulletin board. The tiny half-elf couldn't see a thing over the shoulders of the gigantic men and lanky teenage boys crowding around the board, but she heard a snippet or two of excited conversations.
"Hockey, eh' It's about time we got a manly sport here!"
"Just what we need!"
"What's, uh....Hey Jim, what?s this rainbow sh**?"
"Hawk....ee?" Ahni clasped her hands in front of her, wide green eyes continuously scanning the backs of the men in hopes of finding a hole, a gap in the bodies. There! Finally, she elbowed her way through to the front of the ever-gathering crowd and looked up, up, up...
Strike up the band, start the party, Rhy Din has a new (violent) pastime...
The widest of grins crossed the tiny Biomancer's lips as she hurriedly read the rest of the flyer. She skipped over most of the fine print, but kept going back to the team names. She had no idea what a Warg was, or a Nian....Scanning the teams for the umpteenth time, the half-elf gasped audibly - she had found her team.

Squeaking happily, she shoved and elbowed her way out of the clustered menfolk. The thought of buying boots had completely left her scattered mind. "This is going to be fun~" Giggled, as she skipped off toward the designated Arena.
So what if she had never seen ice before?
