Once apon a time in a place called Caritha lived a beautiful and powerful chestnut horse. This horse didn't have a herd or even a companion to galope over the rolling hills with but she enjoyed her solitude. Able to go where she pleased when she pleased; without having to wait on someone else to stop grasing.

Today was especially exciting for this glorious but lonesome mare had discovered a new wood and was going to explore it to her heart's content. Shaking her black mane and moving strong legs she ventures into the lush green line of trees with her head held high and nostrils flaring slightly at the earthy scent. Following the path she found there her hooves make a soft pit-pat, pit-pat on the leaf covered dirt as the horse wonders deeper and deeper.

As the sun filters through high elder-trees and little rabbits and squirrels scamper along the ferns the horse desides to hum a little tune of her own as she doesn't know any human ones. Yes, hum as she was a talking horse and liked to sing and hum often.

For what seamed like hours she traveled her black tail swishing back and forth to ward off any flies and her tune stopping short as she comes to a fork in the path. to the right is a path clear and smooth with flowers and birds singing. To the left, is a path hardly ever traveled and rough but still bright and with singing birds. Being an animal of alone-ness, the horse turns left and picks up the song where she it had dropped a pleasant look on her face and her eyelids drooping slightly in her light demeaner.

After she has finished her song she comes across a stream that is cool and clear but has an odd feel to it. a slight shiver runs through her as she bends her head to drink and her ears twitch to catch any sudden noises. That is when she noticed that the birds had stopped singing and the light had deminished some through the trees. Jerking her head up to get a better view of her surroundings she finds that she has come across an old cabin with stones and strange markings on the ground around it.

realizing her mistake fear shoots through her mind and she turns to leave. Unfortunately however, when she does there is a figure in all black blocking the path. her instincts tell her it is dangerous and though smaller than she, it will kill without hesitation. In a shaky voice she adresses the creature shyly. "Excuse me, would you mind letting me pass?"

The creature in turn begins to mutter some words she has never heard before and then shoots something into her right flank before vanishing.

Feeling the sting of the needle and the burning of the magic inside it, she takes off in a panic. Pumping her powerful muscles as hard she can down the right path trying to get as much distance between that place and herself as possible. After a couple minutes a ringing starts in her ears and her mind begins to go numb. The trees break into a clearing, no a glen with a lake and caves and what she thinks is a town just beyond. her vission starting to go hazy she darts into a cave and colapses unconscience.

The next thing she remembers is waking to the cave being darker and the cold all around her. she shouldn't be cold. not with her beautiful coat and mane and tail. She tries to stand but falls back over. She tries again and this time manages to remain and walks clumsily over to the lake. Bending her head towards the water she notices her mane is chestnut not black and falling ing the wrong way. Confused she glances over her shoulder and sees her back bare of all her glorious hair. In dispair tears fall from her now blue eyes as she looks at her reflection in the water to find she is on her hands and knees and is not only naked, but human.
