Seeing that there are so many people using this forum, I am hoping that there are at least a few people here that are, like myself fans of the Star Wars universe. After reading the descriptions of Rhy'Din in full, I see no reason that a Jedi could not find his way here, whether on accident or on purpose. That being said, I'm putting my character's heistory up here and hoping I'll find at least a few people who are interested in putting together a free-form game of sorts. Keep in mind that this particular character is from a time approximately a thousand years after the events of Return of the Jedi. Your own characters may be anything, they don't even have to be Star Wars - I just want to have a good time with this and see how a Jedi would fit in here.

Aquilonius Fardreamer was born on Tatooine, to a pair of Jedi who had left the Jedi to raise their own son when it became apparent to them that, even in the womb, he had an unusually strong Force gift. They raised their son near Mos Espa, and it was apparent even as a young child that he had a strong Force gift. His parents, both experienced Jedi, raised their son according to the codeof the Jedi, instructing him in the ways of the Force, and providing him with a life that would have been quite idyllic, if not for an unfortunate accident.

While on a sojourn into the Jundland Wastes, the couple and child happened upon a tarantatek, a creature born of the Dark Side, thought to have been bred to hunt and consume Jedi. The monster had been living there for some time, apparently " the skulls of animal and human victims were abundant, and the beast itself was quite large. The parents were caught by surprise " they had heard of such beasts, but they had never seen one, except in a holocron. They were thought to be long since extinct, in fact, but apparently this one had survived. The presence of the three Force-sensitives awoke the beast, and it charged from its lair, a cave set into a cliff wall. The parents tried to protect their child, but the tarantatek, sensing the child's strong Force gift, went directly after their son. Mother and father fought the beast as one, and managed to grievously wound it, but the monster overcame them both, killing them. At the tender age of ten, Aquilonius was face to face with a beast that had been the bane of the Jedi in ages past. His fear nearly overcame him as the beast neared, and from the air itself, there came voices " the voices of his mother and father, urging him to pick up their lightsabers and finish the beast. They encouraged him, supported him, their spirits flowing through him. As the tarantatek charged, Aquilonius gathered the Force to him and leaped, flipping high above the beast and landing on its back. He stretched out to the Force, calling his mother and father's lightsabers to him, activated them, and plunged the blades of both lightsabers into the monster's head. As it collapsed beneath him, the last words of his mother and father echoed through his head " "The Force will be with you, always."

Grieving the loss of his parents, the boy wandered, finally coming to Mos Eisley after several days. Thirsty and starved, the youth collapsed in the street, near death. As the fates would have it, another Jedi was passing by, and saw the boy. Sensing his Force gift, the man " Tanis Suul " picked the boy up, took him to his ship and nursed him back to health en route to Coruscant. Once there, Aquilonius was taken before the Council, still holding his mother and father's lightsabers. Tanis related what he knew, and Aquilonius told the Council of his parents, their last battle and how they had saved him. The Council saw great potential within the boy, but sensed he was still grieving the loss of his parents, anger and sadness and turmoil within him. Still, they could not leave his training half-complete. They permitted Tanis to take Aquilonius on as his Padawan, despite the risks. And for several years, Tanis and Aquilonius traveled together, Tanis the master, Aquilonius the student. Tanis, only nine years older than Aquilonius himself, became the brother that Aquilonius hadn't had, and the two were as close as two can be.

Twelve years later, Aquilonius, now a Jedi, and Tanis, were traveling in the Unknown Regions, exploring. Aquilonius, his training now complete, had grown amazingly in the Force, becoming a powerful Jedi. His father and mother's lightsabers he had kept, modifying them so that they could be joined or used separately, as a token of his heritage. The two happened upon a planet that had not been previously recorded, except maybe in the long-lost past, and they discovered a single settlement. The two landed nearby, hoping to make contact with the locals. The planet was a forest world, allowing them to land their ship in relative safety without being seen. As the pair journeyed toward the settlement, however, Aquilonius sensed something that was not right, a dark presence in the Force that seemed to emanate from the village. He tried to persuade Tanis to turn back, but Tanis pressed on, certain that they would be able to see the source of it before the villagers could see them. Aquilonius followed, and as they neared the village, the ambush sprang. The two were captured by the settlers after a brief struggle. These settlers had apparently discovered a method of making armor that blocked lightsabers, and at some point in the past, they had learned methods of shielding themselves from the Force. The two Jedi were overcome and brought before the village leader. This man was a dark Jedi, long ago banished by the Jedi for using the Force in ways that were considered to be of the Dark Side. He had kept himself alive out of hate and anger, coming to this place and bending the then-primitve people to his will. He ordered Tanis killed while Aquilonius was forced to watch. Tanis, a Jedi Master, was brutally beaten and savaged by the villagers as Aquilonius watched, finally dying when a club was brought down on his skull, smashing it. And at that, the grief and anger over his parents " so long held in check by Jedi training " finally came raging to the surface. Aquilonius, using the Force alone, broke free of his bindings, calling his lightsabers to him. His anger unleashed, the Dark side opened up to him, and the young Jedi, in his rage, slaughtered the evil man. His rage was not abated yet, though ? he turned his anger upon the villagers, flinging rocks and anything else he could lift with the Force into them, spearing them with trees and using the sheer power of the dark side to crush them completely. He killed them all.

In the wake of the massacre, Aquilonius realized what had happened. He recovered his friend's lightsaber and fled the planet, heading to Coruscant. He went before the Council, relating to them the full details of the incident. The Council, fearing that someday something like this would happen, ordered the young Jedi into exile. Aquilonius, fully aware of what had happened and horror-stricken by the thought, accepted the Council's judgment, and left the civilized galaxy behind. For eight years, he wandered the Outer Rim and Unknown Regions, traveling from place to place in search of peace.

I've played a Jedi in Rhy'Din. Though, he was from *before* the original trilogy. There were also a handful of other Star Wars based characters. So, chances are you'll eventually find someone who'll join you.
