While the Rag enjoyed a large circulation and market shares of area periodicals, its cash reserves were mostly tied up in lawyer's retainers fees. The Law Offices of Forbes, Urnst, Cash and Klien were the best when it came to defending their clients rights to free speech " Hence, the Rag got away with speculation, libel and slander on a daily basis.

Micki, Micki, Micki! Where are you?

Micki "Jinx" Stark has been out of the limelight for months. Reno's Golden Girl of Gambling was a paparazzi favorite, having only punched out one of the many that trailed her. (Sources said said photog was addressing her as "Jinx" before the name really caught on.) Now, lost and lonely, the paparazzi have moved onto a new target " Sam Reed. Mr. Reed was Jinx's (see" We ain't scared!) agent and rumored lover. Vocal fans of the pretty poker player have decried Sam's denials of Jinx's whereabouts, claiming the agent/lover's hands were dirty from the moment he stepped into her life.

We've all heard how Darling Micki's luck ran out the door the moment Sam came through it. Maybe Jinx finally wised up and ran out the door as well. This reporter though, thinks that Micki was pushed through the door and maybe even thrown off a cliff! Everyone said she'd hit rock bottom, maybe they meant it literally.

We have attempted to locate Sam Reed in order to follow up with the cries of foul play, but it seems as though Mr. Reed is no where to be found. On the Lam, Sam' Did you do the Deed, Reed"
