Journal's log, initial day:

The Order has asked that I use the runes to travel. To get away. They have questioned my motives for the slaying of the plagued ones, rather than await for the priests to arrive for study.

Are they daft"

This same curse claimed the lives of Silhaven years ago. Were they to assume the disease would change so rapidly, as to save those lost to the effects of the curse" (Insert doodle here)

The plagued ones must be judged. Retribution for the loss of lives was necessary. The order, however, belives that without a sentient plagued one, redemption isn't possible. Why must we redeem them, rather than destroy them"! By the light, are they under the effects as well"

Perhaps getting away is for the best. The runes have taken me to the Chapel of Heroes. It seems overly quiet, with a city (and port!) just nearby. It will be nice...to get away from the death and plague that strangles us from all around. Later on I hope to tour the city properly, and see what it is like. By the gods, I haven't seen a city flourish since the days of Silhaven. It shall be welcoming, without the dead and loons present, buzzing caution in my ears.

Journal's log,

Gah. A hectic day, to say the very least. Starting out, I came across what must be the central haven for citizens of the city that is just nearby, called what I believe to be "The Red Dragon". Or, rather, something of that nature. It stands out unlike many of the buildings within the city, which caused for me to scope it out further. To my surprise, a hanging dragon was within who caused quite a mess (and cleaned it up just as quick, I must add..) by the name of Ty....well, Ty. He's an...interesting dragon, to say the very least. But extremely friendly and offering much assistance to my plight with Silhaven. Unfortunately, I couldn't take him up on his outstanding offer of assistance, for I can not return. Not at this time. But it is swell to know so quickly that people are willing to stand in the light and strike down the dark. Silhaven would do well to have such friendly aid. Ty also gave me a pineapple, apparently in a friendly gesture. While I do not know if this means I should eat it, or cherish it, I do appreciate the kindness. I wonder if I could find some of this...DP for him that he seemed interested in sharing. Perhaps in due time I could discover this strange thing.

One thing that pointed itself out to me within this haven was a strange outbreak of fighting between a Lycan and a Vampire. Apparently, this city is void of an order to keep these kind of outbreaks from happening, or smiting them where they may stand. Depending on if the chapel could earn a hearing from me considering this, I would like to try to find means of opening a new order that would deal with these issues. If it happens in the open, like so, it cannot be safe for the innocent and children that roam this world. ...a wonder if there is someone to speak with in the city concerning this.

Otherwise a delightful start. The dead seem to be ...dead, and resting as they should. The plight of Silhaven does not share itself with the rest of existance, and for that I am rather thankful.

Journel's Log,

After escaping from the inn to try and find my way around town, I somehow managed to not only lose my pineapple (I believe it seriously ran off..) but find my way back into the inn! In my own defense, it happened to be the back entrance, but still! I am not at all sure how I managed to do that. Aloof, I guess.

Thankfully, Ty was still present in the inn so I was still with company, but also managed to meet several fine patrons that seem to be regulars. Not to come off as the ladies man, but they did happen to be all women. But all were extremely nice. I happened to have stumbled over what appeared to be a lover's spat, but tried my hardest not to intervene. I must admit, however, that I was also occupied with a dragon nesting on my head. It was all quite ...a rush of the moment.

Strange things continue to happen. Which continues to have me question the safety of this realm. There is, what I must deem evil, a pot of stew that is said to eat entire people. Now, with all things considered, I will give the folk the benefit of the doubt, as so many seemed to tell me exactly how horrible it is when I asked. What is concerning is that they continue to allow it to reside in the kitchen, preying on unsuspecting people who may stumble across it when looking to find something to feed their hunger. Perhaps I'm simply blinded by what is considered normal around these parts. No less, I would like to consider opening an order to handle these small hazards, if at all possible.

As the night progressed, we happened to celebrate an ice lady's engagement. Which meant free drinks! I can't help but recall hazy details, but I happened to come across the family. All were glorious people. They certainly are allowing my stay to remain on the good sort. It would make this rather gloomy time worse if they weren't as welcoming and friendly. Hopefully I can thank them more personally as the days continue on. I just hope I can place faces with names! That's always a troubling thing to do.

Being the central haven for excitement in this otherwise confusing city, I'll have to scope it out tomorrow and see what other kind of excitement lingers within.

Journel's Log,

An uninspiring, uneventful day. I woke up early to the sounds of various chitters, like squirrels were in my room. Inspecting the room, I came up empty handed. Something was surely amiss, though. Hopefully I'm not being invaded or pranked for being the new-blood around these parts. Jewell, if I remember her name correctly, mentioned to me that there was an initiation I was to undergo. Squirrels would....be frightening, really.

I quickly got changed and headed downstairs, and met Lydia again. She was up bright and early, apparently being the only one present at such an early hour. She made up a batch of coffee, which I must admit I did not try, for fears of the lumps. (Yes, there were lumps. Frightening, ghastly large lumps.) We spoke some as to why I was here, before she was adruptly swept away. I'm not too sure if it was a teleportation spell, or not. Perhaps my conversational skills are a dull roar. I could have bored the poor girl.

I met a woman named Kairee, I believe, as well as a demon/dead woman by the name of Renna. I really have no words for either of them. I felt as though I was fresh meat at the market, waiting to be chewed. Thankfully, by some miracle, I was pulled in a void and wound up in the forest near the chapel. Though, I could not figure out as to why. Perhaps it's that Nexus thing Ty spoke to me of. Nothing was missing, so I went ahead and counted my chickens. If I had chickens to count, rather.

I returned later in the evening, but most were far too busy to speak to a newblood. I went ahead and listened in for the evening, before taking note that the cracks within the floor were far too large for me to leap over. I cut my evening quite short. Perhaps I will try again, when the room is not quite so occupied with various many dwellers.

Journal's Log,

Shopping! Yes, that is right. I, defender of the holy light, went shopping. I'm quite proud, seeing as how most days I can barely describe what it is I am thinking, let alone consider what I could buy. My initial stop was to a costume store. Or, what I think was one. I must admit, it looked like many things, at first glance. Inside, I was attended to quite promptly, described what it was I was looking for, and sent on my way before I turn my head.

I must question, what was it this shopping attendant gave me? I've yet to open it. I was told that it would turn many heads at this event coming up, and that I should wear it proudly. I do not know what it could be, but I will have to wait, and see. When I asked, the only thing I was informed of was that it was 'A golden, fruity surprise'. I'm scared. Really.

I searched out the temple, in hopes to find a libram or two that speaks of the light that is used in this realm. But, no such luck. I question the morale goals of these citizens, for they allow demons to run wild, the dead to freely feed, and whatever else plausibly unacceptable in most societies to go about daily business. I was informed that they try not to discriminate, and I understand. Perhaps I am far too serious of my goal in Silhaven to see differently. In time.

I do continue to plan on opening a new order of the light, when I am settled. For what it's worth, those that worship the light and use it in their adventures will have a place to go when the times are rough. It is the least I could do to start.

Journel's Log,

I met face to face with the demon, Renna, this evening. She seemed somewhat taken back by the words we exchanged, leaving before we could find the pleasent conversation that was just over the horizon. I feel we will meet again.

Although, Lydia seemed to warn me about speaking with her. I'll admit, I have no reason to converse with a demon, especially of the sort that reek of a plague from the pits of death. Yet, she seemed so intent to inform me of her malicious behavior. There are times I do not enjoy being the stranger, for my curiousity is left too hungry to sustain life. ...perhaps it's just the women I have issues with.

Renna questioned if I knew any of the other paladin orders that are amongst these parts. The chapel did not inform me that there were, and for demon spawn to roam the streets so freely, leaves me to question that perhaps she was looking to wane my thoughts from purity. Judgement comes swift when it's coupled with vengeance. And by the light....no. I will not let the thoughts of before wreck havoc on my mind, now. Yet strange, still, how a demon seems so intent on believing my abilities. There is more to the puzzle than meets the eye.

To a lighter subject matter: I am tired. So good night to you, Journal.

Journal's Log,

I ran into the demon again. Not even five minutes after sitting down. Having been grabbed and tossed, I would have suspected the aid of the various others that were located within the inn. Perhaps I was mistaken by mostly everyone. They were far more interested in their kissing games than to assist when a demon strikes an innocent. These people are in more need than an order. They are in need of a mental check.

Rather than wait for the next strike to possibly happen, I will be speaking to the clergy and see about transferring me to Silhaven, once again. The outrageousness of this has called much alarm, and one I do not wish to be a part of.
